Jisoo
I keep staring at the airport screen indicating that Jennie's plane has already landed, but this damn thing never updates.
Maybe I'll have a heart attack.
Maybe not, I'm sure I'm going to have a heart attack because this flight is delayed and I'm going to freak out with anxiety.
It's okay that I arrived earlier than expected, but it doesn't matter. I would camp here for a week to welcome Jennie if that were the case.
I still remember the gay panic, surprise and happiness I felt when I read Jennie's message saying that she was going to spend Christmas with her family and had the brilliant idea that we would spend New Year's Eve together.
I don't know how I didn't scream with excitement when she said she wanted to come here. Or maybe I screamed and don't remember, who cares?
The only bad part is that Jennie can only stay for one week and I won't be able to celebrate her birthday with her, but at least she will be able to spend my birthday with me.
There is no better gift than having the love of my life here by my side.
I'm not a fan of parties, but I decided to celebrate at a burger restaurant with Jennie, Lisa, Rosé and Boohyun.
Yes, following the logic, it doesn't make any sense to have my Jenjen and my ex in the same environment, but Rosé and Boohyun are working together, as Boohyun and I talk sometimes and Rosé goes straight from work, I thought: why not include him ?
Plus, Jennie doesn't hate Boohyun, so everything will be fine.
There's no way this can go wrong.
I look up at the screen again and see that Jennie's plane has landed, making my heart race as I walk towards the arrivals gate.
Where the hell did this woman go????
I bite my bottom lip and let out a relieved sigh when I see her walking towards me.
JENNIE IS HERE!!! I AM THE HAPPIEST PERSON ON PLANET EARTH!!!
I smile wide when she stops in front of me and I hug her tightly.
"I was already dying of anxiety because your plane wasn't landing soon." I say softly in her ear and I hear her laugh.
"You're so dramatic!" I pull away only to see her rolling her eyes.
"I missed you." I pout and Jennie looks around before giving me a quick kiss.
"Me too, Chu." she gives me that gummy smile that makes me melt completely and I let out another sigh.
"Let's go!!! You must be tired." I grab the handle of the suitcase to help her and Jennie stares at me "What? Unlike you, I like to help."
"I just didn't help you because I was very nervous and didn't know what to do." she says as she rolls her eyes and takes my hand, intertwining my fingers with hers as we start walking.
"I asked you for help!"
"You'll never forget this, won't you?" She sighs and I let out a little laugh.
"Nah" I shrug and stick my tongue out at her. Jennie shakes her head in denial, but has an amused smile on her face.
"So, what are our plans?" she says as soon as we get into the car.
"Let's go to the hotel, since you didn't want to stay at my house." I say in my most dramatic tone as I start the car.
"It's not like that, you share the house with Lisa and I want to attack you whenever I want, if I stayed there, it wouldn't be when I wanted."
"You have a great point." I look at her in surprise and she opens a wide smile.
"I always have, my love." She winks at me and it's my turn to roll my eyes.
"I disagree, but I'm not going to argue... anyway, we're going to spend New Year's Eve just you and me, then, on my birthday, we're going to celebrate at a hamburger restaurant with my friends and that's it."
"Who's going?"
"Lisa, Rosé, Heejin and Boohyun." I say carefully and watch her reaction.
"Okay" she says indifferently.
"You don't mind him going, do you?"
"No, why?" She furrows her eyebrows, suddenly looking confused "I have nothing against him, by the way, I want to meet him." Jennie shrugs "He seems cool."
"He's." I give a slight smile of relief. "But why are you want to know who Boohyun is?"
"Because I can't imagine you being straight, so I need to meet your ex to try to imagine how that would work." She lets out an amused laugh. I open and close my mouth several times to try to fight it off, but I can't think of anything to do. I turn my attention to the steering. "What?"
"Nothing, I just don't have anything to answer, but in my defense, a lot of people swear that I'm straight."
"Jisoo..." Jennie starts laughing "You're one of the gayest people I know, it's impossible for someone to consider you straight, only if they pretend not to see certain signs or create a distorted image of you and believe that image." I pout when I hear her.
"At work they think I'm straight."
"Deluded." Jennie continues laughing.
"By the way it's your fault that I'm such a gayest person, you kicked me out of the closet."
"What? I didn't do anything, it's your K-pop favorites' fault."
"No, they just turned on the light in the closet I was in, you came and kicked me out of there, it's totally your fault."
"Okay, okay, I accept this blame" she says, still laughing.
"See?"
"What?" Jennie looks at me, clearly confused.
"How much easier things get when you take the blame for the things you do." I give a half smile and hear Jennie snort irritably.
"God, you're annoying me so much."
"And I'm yours, forever." I stick my tongue out at her and she just laughs and shakes her head in denial while trying to squeeze my cheek.
