Haru was strong. Very strong. Extremely Strong. Haru had trained and trained. It being the result of years and years of being stuck in the Dimensional Gap. Time spent perfecting his Shishimi-ryū sword technique with his Half Sword. Even going as far as to being able to use the sword technique with his hands. While the sword skill had thousands of years of information Haru had perfected and advanced it in a few hundred. The advance wasn't just being able to use it with his hands. But with a fist. Implementing the two together. Since the Half Sword was as short as the dagger he used it as such in the combination. However, he much preferred the two styles separated.

But then Haru thought of something. If he could cut anything. He could cut space. If he could cut space, he could leave the Dimensional Gap. Explore the world, the universe. So he did. He tried. Using his Half Sword and cutting the space in front of him. There was a slice in space. When Haru looked around it couldn't be seen from behind. It couldn't be seen from the side. Only the front. But all of a sudden it closed. The slice repairing itself. Like fabric being woven back together again.

Haru believed it was because of the "nothingness" that was supposed to be the Dimensional Gap. Nothingness couldn't be linked to something. And what Haru saw beyond the slice was definitely something. Stars, a deep dark night sky. Space which was as vacuum had nothing in, but a whole lot more than the Dimensional Gap.

And once he got a taste... a taste of freedom. For the first time in many many years. He was starved. Starved for freedom. Starved for noise. Starved for social interaction. He didn't realise it because his life was summed up to a few words. Eating, drinking, sleeping, training, household work, gardening and repeat. While those may have seemed like many words, compared to life, those words were too few. Haru was lonely. He wanted to see the world. As much as he no longer cared whether he missed the cannon DxD timeline, that didn't mean he didn't want to see the world.

So he tried again. Creating a slice in space as Haru stepped through it. But it was in the middle of no where. Not on earth, not on mars, not in the demon realm or the heaven or hell. It was nothing again. The complete vacuum of space near nothing. He didn't want this. Quickly pushing off his Spacial Platform he went back to his prison as the slice in space closed.

But that brief moment in the vacuum of space. That was more than enough to spur him on to find a way out. To commit a jail break.

So Haru tried to find a way out.

Shainarks Dragonic Authority. It was magic. Magic power spoke in every word. Sentences formed was long complex spells. Ignite would cause a massive burst of flames. Bind would wrap chain around an entity. Combinations of words, Ignite Bind. Would cause burning chains to wrap around an entity burning it in fire. Words that had meaning would cause magic when spoken. And when Haru understood the magic, the flow and shift of his energy when used. Haru could use his power Ether Manipulation and Event Modification. To cast the spell without a word or movement. He could even amplify the spell and control it.

It was an amazing combination that fit well with his energy. While a normal cultivator with a dantian may not have been able to use magic. Haru could with his Quasi Dragon God body. His body that constantly circulated his energy all around him.

But there was one thing Haru couldn't do. Even with all his power and technique. He couldn't get out of his prison. He used word such as "teleport" to try and get out of the Dimensional Gap. But that didn't work. He made longer sentences for more advanced and complex spells. But those didn't work. He had spent years mastering and developing Shainarks Dragonic Authority but it had a limit.

Then Haru felt it. That toxic feeling he felt in his past life. He didn't realise it. But he truly despised that feeling. That bile like feeling in the back of his throat. The feeling of not being enough. It was suffocating. It was sickening. The vast infinite space he was trapped in. For the very first time. In years. Felt like an actual prison.

And Haru wanted out.

But he couldn't get out with how he was now. The only place he could go to was some place more empty than where he was currently at. A vast space of nothingness. Not even his home.

He now tried more than ever. Using his Gacha. Trying to get more powers. Combining the powers. He tried everything. But after many years. For some reason. It felt hopeless.

This wasn't about determination or drive. He had been ignoring it. He already knew better than anyone else how this worked. He needed to know. Know where he wanted to go. Know the magic used in this universe to travel places. To have previous been to the places he wanted to go. But he didn't know where the Dimensional gap was compared to the Demon realm, Earth and Heaven. He didn't know the unique magic of this world. He hadn't been anywhere besides the Dimensional Gap.

He knew there were two beings in the Dimensional Gap that knew how to traverse in between them easily. But he also knew they weren't the type to give gestures of charity. And finding them in infinite nothingness was nearly 0. He would only lose his home that brought him some comfort. Whether he lost its location or one of the other Dragon Gods decided to destroy it.

So Haru sat in his infinite prison cell. Like a good prisoner. Taking care of his cell. Waiting. Waiting for the power to fall in his lap so he could get out.

Leave.
