Ch 83 - Acting Like Children

Grayfia was in bed. Sitting against the a massive pile of pillows he made. Pillows all around her. Haru sitting on the bed beside her. After everyone had come to know of her pregnancy they all said their congratulations and Haru made a strict rule of no stress around her. This is how they were in this situation.

Haru: Stay in bed.

Grayfia: I'm not that pregnant Haru I can do my regular duties.

Haru: Ah yes. Stressful maid work, going out and potentially meeting danger, stressful paperwork. All great when you're pregnant.

Haru said sarcastically and with a smile.

Grayfia: Ok. When you put it like that is sounds bad. But...

Haru: Stay. In. Bed.

Grayfia: But I don't want to.

Grayfia moaned like a child not getting their way. Yes work was stressful and she knew that was good when she was pregnant, but she liked her job. Haru wouldn't even let her wear the maids uniform anymore and was instead wearing her nightgown.

Haru: Relax woman. My god, you do nothing but work. Relax. Go to sleep longer, read a book, yoga. Something not stressful and dangerous.

Grayfia: But...

Haru: Don't make me chain you to this bed.

Both Grayfia and Haru looked at each other. Giving a small kiss to each other. Even when like this they were the happiest people to ever exist. Haru placed his hand gently on her stomach while they kissed.

Grayfia: You know you won't be able to feel anything right now.

Haru: I know. I'm just happy that we did it. Hundreds of years and it's finally happened.

Grayfia: I love you so much Haru.

Haru: I love you too. Though I can't believe I have to wait 9 months for this little guy. I thought waiting hundreds of years was enough.

Haru gave a small laugh as Grayfia giggled.

Grayfia: Or girl...

Grayfia looked at Haru as his eyes widened. He wasn't supposed to say that. He couldn't help it and not just looked, but assessed the baby growing in her. He knew a lot more than just its gender. And he was so proud. But... he was supposed to keep that to himself.

Grayfia: OH MY GOD YOU KNOW DON'T YOU?!

Haru: Ermmmmm... Bye.

Haru disappeared as Grayfia was left looking where he disappeared from. A smile forming on her face.

Grayfia: So you're going to be a boy. I guess thinking of names and buying clothes, decorating rooms and mostly everything is going to be easier because of that early information. I wonder who you'll take after more. Me or your father. Probably your dad right. It's father like son. Though... two Harus around the castle won't be too bad. He may not think it or act like it. But your dad's actually very reliable. Probably just like you're going to be. Aren't you.

Grayfia held her stomach as she laid down to sleep. She knew she couldn't feel anything as of yet. But it brought her a sense of peace. A smile on her face. They had a child now. A family. A dream come true.

Scene change

Haru appeared in his office as a man was standing in it. Dark green hair, closed shut eyes and expensive clothes. Haru forgot all about it, but he knew exactly who this was.

Haru: OH! I completely forgot about that! {This asshole that tries to steal Asia from Issei. But she's mine now. And I'm not as kind as to just beat you up.}
