Ch 16 - Caring

Haru was in his house as he gently laid the elegant woman down on his bed. Looking at her tattered clothes as he turned around and closed his eyes. Reducing his sense of perception and mana sense as much as possible as to only see the outline of the woman's body. Using his energy to slowly undress her as her clothes moved in front of him. He turned on his perception very minimally just to see if there were any wounds that didn't heal. But as soon as he saw there were no wounds he combined some of his spare clothes to perfectly fix her clothes. Changing her back into her clothes, not seeing a thing. Her clothes looking brand new as if they had just been brought. No longer bloody and ripped.

Haru: {Ok so physically she's all fine. And that energy that looked like it was poisonous to her was absorbed completely. I just need to wait... And some food and water!}

Haru rushed to his kitchen as he made a small glass of water from a jug he had previously filled. And grabbed multiple apples from the centre table piece. Slicing them, removing the core and deseeding them perfectly as they fell on the plate he prepared. Going back to his room as he placed them on the bedside table. Haru now just standing there... waiting.

Haru: {Is it rude for me to just wait like this? Yeah it's pretty weird. I should just let her wake up naturally. Not be standing in the same room as her and waiting.}

Haru was getting more and more nervous. This was the first person he had come across in more than a thousand years. He didn't want to ruin it and his chances of getting out. Haru walked out as he decided to train while he was waiting for the elegant woman to wake up. A whole day going by before she did.

Time skip

The woman's eyes slowly flickered opened as she looked up at the unfamiliar ceiling. Quickly checking her body as she realised something off. She was completely healed and her clothes were completely fine. On the verge of death but was now without any tells that she had been in battle.

???: {Where... where am I?}

The woman looked over as she noticed a bedside table. Sliced apples on the side and water. But the water was cold and the apples newly sliced. The woman went to check the water. Taking a small sip. Then she slowly started drinking the water as she finished it. She went to place down the glass and reach for the apples but she slight bumped them with her hand as the bedside table was small. Knocking the plate over as she caught it and the sliced apples that fell. But her hand accidentally knocked the desk in her quick catch.

Noticing the white draw that peaked open out of the corner of her eye. A book inside of it. Placing the apples on her lap she took out the book. A black plain hard back cover. She opened it and everything inside was hand written. She read more and more as she got confused. It often mentioned the Dimensional Gap. As she read more and more it clicked. Placing the book back where it belonged and holding the plate of apples she rushed over to the curtain. Opening them. Looking outside and seeing something amazing.

???: This... this can't be. I'm still in the Dimensional Gap? But I'm not protecting myself with magic? Is it this energy mentioned in the diary that's protecting me?

The woman looked around the room as she noticed it was a man that lived in this room. Finding his draws of clothing. As she explored the house further she found it weird. There were so many apples in the kitchen. Hardly any other food. Nearly no other food at all.

The woman opened the front door as she was greeted with a forest of apple trees. Eating the sliced apples as she walked along the path.

???: I wonder. From what the diary sounded like. This person is trapped here. And they made all of this during that period. But why apple tree?

The woman walked down a small path as she was met with a tombstone. Reading it as she gave as small giggle but immediately turned serious.

???: {No I shouldn't laugh at that. That just means that they've been here a really, really long time. Is this their home? A birth place? Or prison?}

The woman walked back as she continued to follow the larger path. Following it to an amazing field of small white flowers. Looking up at the massive tree she saw from the house. Even bigger up close. Bigger than anything she had ever seen.

???: {This overwhelming mana. This tree is constantly producing more and more of it. And this sound. He's closer to the tree.}

The woman could hear someone. Training. A counting of a mans voice. As she got closer and closer to the massive tree, passing the beautiful fields of mixed flowers. She saw him. The person from what the diary sounded like was trapped in the Dimensional Gap. The person wearing a baggy white top that was handing down, showing his hard abs. The man doing ballistic one finger handstand push ups. The woman watched impressed as she looked at his body. Blushing slight.

???: *Ahem* Excuse me.

Haru from one finger jumped to his feet as his hair flicked back, his top falling back down revealing his face to the woman. The woman blushing more looking at him as the man looked at the woman.

Haru: It's nice to see your awake. I was getting worried I'd have to use true loves kiss to wake you up.

Haru smiled. His power and choker helping him as he was more nervous talking to someone than ever. Not having met someone in over a thousand years. The woman had a small blush on her face as she smiled.

???: Thank you. I can only assume you're the one that saved me from those monsters.

Haru: Are you unfamiliar with the beings attacking you? {Are they a new addition to this world?}

???: No. They have actually been a growing problem. Though I don't know the specifics of them. Do you know what they are?

Haru: I don't. I've been trapped here.

It was a bit of an obvious thing the woman forgot. Feeling relaxed looking at him and eating apples. She felt extremely bad as she apologised.

???: I am very sorry for being insensitive! I just... thank you for saving me. Could... could I know your name?

Haru looked at the woman. She's was beautiful. But with her growing nervous blush. It only seemed to make her more beautiful in Haus eyes.

Haru: Haru. Haru Gakia. Please call me whatever you're comfortable with.

???: Thank you... Haru. I'm Grayfia Lucifuge. Please call me Grayfia.

Haru appeared right in front of Grayfia as she blushed realising how tall he was. Getting a better look at him and realising a lot of things about Haru. Haru held her hand gently and kissed it softly.

Haru: Well it's nice to meet such a beautiful woman as yourself... Grayfia.

Grayfia blushed more and she felt Harus strong hand holding hers. Blushing as Haru kissed her hand. However, in Harus head something very different was happening compared to the outside.

Haru: {WHY AM I SAYING AND DOING THIS?!}
