Ch 96 - Here For You

Haru gently yawned as his eyes remained closed. Feeling the smooth stone of the grave he was resting on. Acknowledging what had happened. He had really lost someone again. Someone that viewed him as a father. Tears couldn't help but fall from his eye as he tried to wipe them, but realised someone was holding his right arm. Looking to his right as he used his left arm to wipe his eyes.

Haru: Grayfia?

Haru said looking at Grayfia with a blue gown on. A larger stomach due to her pregnancy. Gently she tightened her grip around Harus arm as she rested her head on it.

Grayfia: I'm sorry Haru. I'm sorry for your loss. I know the pain of losing someone close.

Haru looked at Grayfia as she rested on him. Just listening to his breathing and feeling his gentle movements.

Haru: I... I left her. We weren't that close.

Grayfia: Now I know that's a lie. Just remember who helps you manage your finances. I've seen the money go to a random orphanage. I'm the person you confide in. You've told me about her. I also know you wouldn't have buried her here unless you deeply cared for her. Haru, it's okay to cry.

Haru looked at Grayfia as he took a deep breath and tried to look away. But Grayfia gently touched the side of his face and brought it to face her. Tears streaming from his eyes as she looked at him.

Grayfia: It's okay.

Haru: No. I'm... I'm supposed to be the strong one that can do anything.

Grayfia: Haru.

Haru: But... I couldn't save her.

Grayfia: Haru I've never once expected you to be able to do everything. I do expect you to be my husband. And right now I know my husband needs to cry. It's okay Haru. You couldn't save her... and that's okay. It hurts, but it's not your fault.

Haru looked at Grayfia as tears fell from his eyes and she rested into a soft hug with him. Holding him as this moment meant something special to her. This was the first time she had ever seen him cry. She thought it may have been wrong to think, but she was glad he could still cry.

Haru: She... she called... she called me dad. I... I did the bare minimum... yet I was a father to her.

Grayfia kept ahold of Haru as she was in pain hearing it. In pain that Haru was in so much pain. That even before he had his own child he had already lost a daughter. Grayfia couldn't tell him it was going to be okay. She couldn't tell him that it was would get better. Because losing a child was an irreparable damage to one's heart they could only bear the rest of their lives.

Grayfia: That bare minimum you say you did. It meant everything to her Haru. I know you meant everything to her.

Grayfia held Harus hand as she gently placed it on her stomach. Her could feel the warmth of it through her gown. The hardness and the size it got to.

Grayfia: You were a good father to her. You saved her, supported her. You let her grow and develop into her own person. So Haru.

Grayfia parted the hug as she looked at Haru. Gently wiping his tears as she looked at his crimson and magenta eyes.

Grayfia: Don't regret being a good father to her. You did a lot for her. I'm sure you will be a great father to him too.

Haru looked at Grayfia as he kissed her. The kiss getting deeper and more passionate as Haru placed his hand on Grayfias stomach.

Haru: Are you sure I'll be a good father to them?

Grayfia: I'm sure you be an amazing one to... wait them?

Haru: Yeah. Them.

Grayfia: You mean him?

Haru: Him and her.

Grayfia looked at Haru in complete shock as he slightly smiled. A smile he needed as he kissed her softly. And as if the kiss was Grayfias on button she started again.

Grayfia: WE'RE HAVING TWINS?! HOW DID YOU MISS THAT?!

Haru: Well they're semi identical. I only checked the what I could. It's not my fault female devils are sick early into their pregnancy so the cells hadn't even split off.

Grayfia: WE'RE HAVING TWINS!!

Haru: Grayfia?

Grayfia: WE'RE HAVING TWINS!

Grayfia hugged Haru quickly and hard as she smiled and cried. A mix of emotions that didn't help with her hormones. But even in the pain of losing someone. Haru smiled. Because in loss there was new life. Hugging Grayfia as his arms slowly moved and he picked her up in a princess carry to her surprise. Causing a small blush.

Haru: So how did you know I was here?

Grayfia: Rossweisse got worried when you didn't show up for your "special time" with her. So she went to find you and found a fox lady that said you disappeared with a sickly old lady. So I walked here assuming that you might have disappeared to your usual places.

Haru: I have such a wonderful wife.

Grayfia: You do. But you need to be introducing me to this new fox woman. I heard her over the phone and she seems quite obsessed with you.

Haru: I swear I didn't do anything to cause that.

Grayfia giggled as she kissed Haru on the cheek.

Grayfia: Rossweisse say she's fine not having you right now. That she's just happy to be with you. So will you take me to bed. Then maybe you could help me in it~.

Haru: I would love to. {Thank you Grayfia. For always being here for me.}

Haru walked through the amazing garden with Grayfia in his arms. A slight breeze blowing as he looked at Grayfia. Seeing her and how beautiful she was. Reminding him once again why he married her.

Haru: {I truly love you.}
