Ch 49 - Flaming Chicken

Haru was walking down the hall as he passed Asia. Continuing to walk to the next class he had to teach. But Asia stopped suddenly as she quickly turned around.

Asia: Wait... WAIT! A-Aren't you... you're the person that saved me. Twice. {I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD BE ABLE TO SEE HIM AGAIN!}

Haru turned around looking at Asia. She was wearing the school uniform so he was glad she was having a better life than in the church. It made him feel better, as if he did the right thing.

Haru: Nice to see you again. Miss Argento.

Asia: Please call me Asia. But... I didn't get your name.

Haru: As a teacher you should call me Mr Gakia. But since you're special you can call me Haru.

Asia blushed as she looked at Haru.

Asia: {H-He... He thinks I'm special.} T-Thank you... Haru.

Haru: I just wanted to know before I go to teach my class. Has school been ok? Friends, living situation. Has it all been good?

Asia: Yeah! Koneko and Kiba have been really nice. I've been making some friends and I guess the living situations ok. But Rias doesn't often live in the house she owns. So I guess it's lonely. But besides that is all good! I don't want to make it seem like I'm not grateful!

Haru: {She's lonely at home. That's the worst place to be lonely. Left with your thoughts. In a house you know could hold more.} Do you want me to visit sometimes?

Asia: W-What?!

Haru: I'll visit. Right now I need to teach a class. See you later... Asia.

Haru smiled as he walked through the door and his class greeted him. Asia blushing in the hall as she shook her head. Leaving down the hall.

Time skip

Haru had just started teaching the class. He was teaching mathematics today. He taught all subjects but would alternate between them by day.

Haru: Now class, with the quadratic... class I need to leave for a second.

Haru was seeing something that made him violently angry. Even with his choker to calm his mind.

???: But you just...

A terrifying aura scared the student quite as Haru opened the class door.

Haru: I'm leaving.

When Haru closed the door he disappeared. Usually it would have been without a sound or a trace that no one could detect. But he was so enraged he accidentally put too much power in it that the floor cracked and the windows shook.

Scene change

Riser, a member of the Phenex family, was grabbing Rias by her hair. Smiling as he grabbed it. As if he was playing with a toy. Rias with a less than happy look.

Rias: I said take you had off me. Before you los...

In an instant Riser felt his head grabbed and slammed into the floor. Enough force to nearly crush his skull completely and put his head through the floor.

His peerage was shocked and rushed at Haru who was the one holding Riser by the back of his head. As he put his hand out, he used Rulers Authority as everyone in Risers peerage dropped to their knees. Unable to move even a muscle.

Haru lifted Risers face from the floor as it healed from its bloody mess.

Haru: See. It's not fun to be grabbed. And the next time you do it to Rias. I'll permanently castrate you, despite your regeneration. {I forgot to send Grayfia here. And since Issei isn't here it's nearly impossible for her to win the Rating Game.}

Riser knew exactly who he was. And while he held no fear for Haru, to confident in his own immortality. He wasn't going to opening insult someone as powerful as Haru.

Riser: My apologies lord Haru. However, the engagement is with the permission of Zeoticus and Venelana Gremory. Even if you a Great King, you have no right to interfere. You're also mistaken if you think I fear you.

Riser smiled as Haru so desperately wanted to inflict otherworldly pain of this pompous prick. Riser felt Haru cracking his skull with only his grip from one hand. He winced in pain but Riser pushed through it.

Riser: Rias it's fun. But are you seducing lord Haru to try and get out of our engagement? You know you seem to be doing quite well. He's already so protective of you.

Haru: Silence.

Harus voice reverberated as Risers mouth was shut closed as he couldn't open it.

Haru: Rias are you ok?

Rias: It's ok Haru. He was just getting angry because I challenged him at an unofficial rating game.

Haru: Y-Your confident you can win? {This is... different.}

Rias: I'm certain. So it's ok. You can let him go.

Rias gave a soft smile as Haru looked at Riser in his hands. He had given up on trying to speak.

Haru: I'll put him down then. {But if you try and hurt her. Not even the biblical god can save you.}

Riser heard in his head as Haru slammed his face into the floor and let go of him. Riser pulled his face out as Haru released his peerage.

Riser: You have 10 days then Rias. Consider this as a consideration for your inexperience.

Riser walked to his peerage as they disappeared in a magic circle. Haru was about to leave. When Rias grabbed his hand.

Rias: Can all of you leave? I need to talk to Haru alone.

Kiba, Koneko, Akeno and Asia left the room as Haru stood there with Rias holding his had. She was happy about what he just did. But she was confused.

Rias: If you didn't want me to be engaged with Riser. Why didn't you protest against it when it was first mentioned?

Haru: That... You know on our date. When I said I had a reason not to love you.

Rias: Was that because of the engagement?

Haru: No. It was why I had to let the engagement happen. There was a plan. One where you would be happy. That plan just so happened to not have me involved.

Rias: You thought I would be happy with Riser?

Haru: Not in a million years. But the plan doesn't matter now. It was actually a failure before it even started. So if you want to tear apart the engagement... I would gladly burn it to the ground with the rest of the Underworld.

Rias: It's ok. I've been training really hard just like you!

Haru: I stopped training you when you turned 12. You said you found it embarrassing.

Rias: That... I still continued to train. But... could me and my peerage receive a small amount of help. Not a lot! Just 1 day of training.

Haru: A single day?

Rias: Yep. Please trust me.

Rias said holding Harus had with a tightening grip. She really wanted Haru to get closer and closer to her. To trust her.

Haru: I trust you Rias. I'm just a bit worried.

Rias quickly hugged Haru tightly. Placing her head on his chest.

Haru: What's this for?

Rias: So you won't be worried.

Haru felt Rias hug. She was amazing. Haru felt bad he denied her as much as he did. Slowly hugging her too. Embracing the hug.
