Ch 24 - A Taste Of True Power

Haru was standing a distance away from his World Tree with Grayfia just behind him as his "maid". What was here on the 72 pillars standing on his training ground, slightly raised at the base of the World Tree.

Another man then stepped forward. Haru saw his intentions to meditate between the two parties. All the pillars besides Sirzechs confused as to who Haru was. They couldn't sense a single spec of magic within him, which in itself was strange.

???: I am sorry. Let me first introduce myself. I am Lord Agares. And I believe Lord Beelzebub was just concerned.

A man with green hair with yellow tints in said. Trying to mediate the growing tension between the two parties.

Haru: Concerned? Over the tree? Beelzebub it may be big but I don't think it's going to eat anyone. It's not that type of plant.

???: Please call me Ajuka. But my concern isn't its size or species. While it is enormous and a very beautiful tree, my concern is with its overwhelming magical power. Not only is that amount dangerous if it gets in the wrong hand, the magic feels similar to the Unholy Angels.

Everyone was suddenly put on guard as some even flared their magic and prepared attacks.

Haru: Well... Ajuka. It's in safe hand. My hands. And it has been for hundreds of years. So as long as you or anyone else don't have the intentions of touching it, we should all be good.

???: YOU! YOU KEEP ON ACTING ARROGANT! IS NO ONE GOING TO ACTUALLY QUESTION WHO HE IS OR WHERE HE CAME FROM?! OR EVEN WHY SOMEONE WITH NO MAGIC IS ACTING SO COCKY?!

The same outburst pillar shouted. It seemed Harus was already on that ones bad side.

Sirzechs: He came from...

Haru: The Dimensional Gap. Home, prison and technically birth place.

Haru could hear many gulp. There were only a few beings that were born or lived in the Dimensional Gap.

Ajuka: The Dimensional Gap?

Agares: B-B-Birth place.

Haru: {Greyfia cover yourself in a strong barrier.}

Greyfia sighed as she covered herself in a very strong and thick blue barrier.

???: But... But... t-t-the only things to have been born in the Dimensional Gap are...

Haru: Let me reintroduce myself. I am Haru Gakia. Dragon God.

Haru took off his ring as his aura burst out in a strong pressure. Causing the ground to shake, along with all of the 72 Pillars. His basic aura was terrifying. Then Haru went a step further as he used Spirit Explosion as the ground would have shattered like glass underneath his feet if he wasn't stepping on a Spacial Platform. Some of the pillars passed out as many struggled to stand up. Even Sirzech legs were shaking. Haru noticed the barrier around Grayfia crack more and more as she was suffering some pressure even while in it. His flowers also started to wilt and die. Haru quickly putting back on his ring as all that aura disappeared.

Haru: {Are you okay?!}

Grayfia: {I'm ok. But you didn't tell me you were a Dragon God.}

Grayfia sounded surprised as she took a breath.

Haru: {Quasi. But that's a technicality now. Is this going to change anything in between us?}

Grayfia: {If you're worried about me seeing you differently I won't. But we can discuss this at a more appropriate time.}

Haru: {Awww. No teasi...}

Grayfia: {Haru.}

Grayfia thought in a serious tone. Haru gulped.

Haru: {Sorry.} So... we cleared everything up?

The Pillars were recovering as Sirzechs crossed her legs. Haru saw she was still shaken. Feeling slightly bad.

Ajuka: If you don't mind. One more question.

Haru: You have my permission to ask.

Ajuka: Why have you come here? With the land that appeared here it seemed you weren't starved for resources.

Haru was about to say "Because I was bored and lonely." But Grayfia spoke up.

Grayfia: My lord is going to become a high rank Devil.

Ajuka: If you don't mind me asking Grayfia. With what achievements?

Grayfia: All my contracts I have acquired over the recent years as well as my military achievements.

Ajuka: You know better than anyone you can't hand over military achievements.

Grayfia: Yes. However, my recent ones are not my own. All the ones and information related to the Unholy Angels was information given by my lord. The only information anyone has about them was only found out because of my lord.

Ajuka looked over to Haru who just seemed to stand there listening to what they were talking about. Looking at the weaker pillar that had passed out before he even used Spirit Explosion.

Ajuka: I understand. When will the promotion be arranged?

Grayfia: My lord would like it as soon as possible.

Ajuka: That will be arranged. We apologise for the inconvenience. However, Lord Gakia...

Haru: Please feel free to call me Haru. But don't miss out the Lord. {It sounds nice.}

Ajuka: Lord Haru. If at a later date we could discuss arrangements and negotiations with your... tree as the subject, that would be most appreciated.

Haru: Depending on my stay... I guess we could discuss.

Ajuka: Thank you for your generosity. If you don't mind I'll take my leave. Many of us were in a meeting.

Ajuka had black bat like wings appear from his back as he flew off. Many flying after him so they didn't have to find an excuse to leave. Those that passed out either woke up and left or were carried. Only one person remained and that was Sirzechs whose legs were still crossed and shaking.

Haru: Did I scare her that badly?

Grayfia: I... I don't think that's fear.

Grayfia gave a small giggle. Knowing Sirzechs long enough to know what she was doing and how she was feeling at that moment. Haru looked confused. The poor woman was shaking. What else could it be?

Sirzechs: {He's... He's so strong. And the way he grabbed me before. He could have had his way with me and I wouldn't have been able to stop it. But... that was so cool. So scary. I... I nearly peed myself. And my underwear is already... NO! I... I CAN'T FALL FOR HIM LIKE THIS! EVEN IF HE'S STRONG AND HANDSOME, and has a way with his words, and calls me a good girl... NO! NO NO NO!}

Sirzechs quickly flew off as Haru was left there very confused. But as he looked back at Grayfia he could only ask one thing.

Haru: Did I do good?

Grayfia: You need a lot of training on your etiquette. But... you did good.

Haru had a big smile as he heard this which caused Grayfia to giggle slightly.

Grayfia: However, this is no time to relax. I have to ready you for your promotion. Please follow me.

Grayfia turned around as she was about to take the lead.

Haru: No my lord?

Grayfia stopped as she turned around. Walking up to Haru.

Grayfia: You like it when I call you that?

Haru: I do.

Grayfia: Then follow me...

Grayfia held onto Harus Kimono as she tippy toed to kiss Harus lips. A small peck.

Grayfia: My lord~.

Haru slightly blushed as Grayfia gave a gentle smile. Holding Harus hand. When she did, a blush developed on her face too.
