Haru was doing his regular training under his World Tree. In the middle of a forest in his territory. Gently performing his Magic Warrior King Arts in a Ti-Chi like motion so he didn't completely destroy the forest or Underworld around him.
???: HARWOO!
Haru stopped as a small red haired child ran through the forest. They seemed so happy and excited. Until they tipped and fell flat on their face. Haru felt bad as he giggled slightly. Appearing next to the child as he helped her up and cleaned over off. The child wearing a summer white frilly dress that was now a bit dirty.
Haru: Are you ok?
???: I-It hurt a bit. BUT IM OK!
Haru: I'm sure you are my little crimson princess.
Haru smiled as he gentle rubbed her long red hair. A big smile on her face. The little girl being Rias Gremory. Sirzechs was still loving of her sister and due to this spent a lot of time with Haru. Becoming friends.
Haru: But what are you doing out here? You know it would have been dangerous if I didn't see you as soon as you let the castle.
Rias: You saw me from all the way back at the castle! Cool! Just as expected of my Harwoo!
Haru: It's Haru. No W or O. A U.
Rias: I know! But aren't I cuter saying it like that?
Rias looked at Haru batting where blue eyes.
Haru: Don't think cuter is the right word.
Rias: Then what?
Haru: *Pfff* More childish.
Little Rias looked so shocked as she looked at Haru laughing.
Rias: MEANIE! YOU KNOW WHAT! WERE NOT FRIENDS ANYMORE!
Haru looked shocked. Literally his only friend. A child. Just unfriended him. It kinda hurt.
Haru: Fine.
Haru appeared back on his training ground. As he began his Magic Warrior King Arts training. Little Rias walked up the stone steps and watched. Watching Haru slowly move.
Rias: Why do you do that?
Haru: Were not friends anymore. So I don't have to tell you. {*Sigh* I'm acting like a child.}
Rias: Your right!
Rias just sat there turning around. Haru continued performing his training. Silence was in the forest as Rias turned around.
Rias: Haru I'm sorry.
Haru: You got my...
Haru then looked to see Rias crying. Sitting there in tears. Haru felt like an absolute asshole for making a child cry. Rushing over to Rias.
Haru: Hey hey. There's no need to cry. I'm really sorry for calling you childish.
Rias: *Hick* It's... Its not that. It's... No... I...
Haru: Hey if you don't want to tell me you don't have to. But do you want a hug instead?
Haru opened his arms out as he crouched down. Rias looking at Haru as she hugged him tightly. Relaxing in his arms.
Rias: Haru. How do you deal with it?
Haru: Deal with what?
Rias: The constant label. I heard Grayfia and Big Sis complaining about how many people want to fuck you because of what you are.
Haru tried not to laugh that a child just said what they said.
Haru: First, don't say that F word again.
Rias: Fuck?
Haru tried really hard not to laugh as Rias saw this.
Rias: I know what it means. It's not that funny.
Haru: I'm sorry. But please don't say that word again. People would assume I taught you that.
Rias: Ok!
Haru: Now back to the question. I would say... There are multiple ways I deal with it. I ignore it.
They parted the hug as Haru looked at little Rias.
Rias: That's hard though.
Haru: Yeah. That's where not caring comes in. You hear it, but you don't care what they say.
Rias: How so?
Haru: Do you care about the people giving you the label?
Rias: No.
Haru: Then why do you care about what they say?
Rias: I... I don't know? I shouldn't.
Haru: Exactly. And if that doesn't work. Become what you need to when stuck between a rock and a hard place...
Rias: What's the hard place?
Haru: Ermmmmm. Another rock. Basically what you got to do is 1. Ignore it. 2. Not care about it, or 3. Become more resilient of what they say.
Rias: How do I do that?
Haru: A lot of hard work and maturity.
Rias: But you're not mature.
Haru: Ow. {I may not feel physically pain anymore but my feeling can still hurt.}
Rias giggled and smiled as Haru smiled. Happy he cheered her up.
Haru: Friends again?
Rias: MORE THAN FRIENDS! YOUR MINE HARU! FOREVER AND EVER!
Rias hugged Haru as Haru hugged Rias. Though Haru couldn't say he wasn't greatly concerned now.
Haru: {For the love of all that is holy. Please don't mean what I think that meant.}
Rias: OH! I also wanted to see your different wings! Big Sis said you have unique wings!
Haru: These?
Haru extended his eight dragon wings as Rias looked in awe. She touched them as she felt their different texture. Like a strong hide compared to their bat like wings.
Rias: YOUR SUPER COOL! AS EXPECTED OF MY HARU! But... Can you teach me what you're doing?
Haru: You mean my training?
Rias: Yeah! If I copy you I'll get super strong! More resilient!
Haru: You realise I'm most likely over 2000 years old right. I've been training for a lot of that.
The longer Haru lived the more he had come to realise he was in the Dimension Gap a lot longer than he initially thought. Time passing by and gaps in memory. The perfectly repeating days turning it into a blur. He had a small worry about his mental state but brushed it off.
Rias: Can I still learn?
Haru: How about we start off small. Basic body training.
Rias: Body training?
Haru: For you... 20 push ups, squats, sit ups and a quick race back to the castle.
Rias: I'LL DEFINITELY BEAT YOU!
Rias said as she began her workout. Haru finding it adorable. Helping her when she struggled on her 5th. Helping her do the rest of the 20.
