Ch 30 - An Idea Of Assets

Haru woke up. A great nights sleep. He reached over to kiss Grayfia awake, but as he looked at the bed Grayfia was already gone. Haru smiled as he got changed. His normal clothes and Kimono but he didn't change one thing. As he walked through the castle halls helpers and maids gasped looking at Haru. Haru walking down to his office as he opened the doors. Grayfia already there in her blue and white maids dress.

Grayfia: My lord... HARU!

Haru closed the doors behind him as Grayfia rushed to him. Complete shock all over her face. Haru smiled widely. He was happy.

Haru: So did you remember?

Grayfia was flustered and blushed as she took out a cloth. He left her red lipstick marks on his face to see if it jogged her memory. He didn't expect her to remember after getting that drunk from one drink. It was fun to know she was a lightweight though.

Grayfia: OF COURSE I REMEMBER! BUT WHY DID YOU WALK DOWN THE HALLS LIKE THIS?!

Haru wrapped his hands around Grayfia as her arms were trapped. Not able to wipe the kisses off. Grayfia blushed brighter as they looked into each others eyes.

Haru: I love you too Grayfia.

Haru and Grayfia had a light, soft and long kiss. Parting to look at her blushed face. Haru was blushed too. It had been a while since he was so forward. But he was getting back to his usual self again.

Grayfia: C-C-Can we get on with the work.

Haru: Only if my queen commands it.

Grayfia blushed harder. She definitely remembered.

Grayfia: I-I-I command it.

Haru let go as his face cleared with a bit of magic. Sitting down in his chair and looking over the paper work on his desk.

Haru: Agenda today?

Grayfia: More of a small hiccup. You need to form your own contract with a human. Some higher rank devils that disagree with your promotion are raising the contract transfer. While this necessarily isn't an issue in itself. They're protesting that you didn't have any contracts to begin with. It will only grow if you don't have your own contracts.

Haru: Oh the human world. That sounds like a fun outing... {Wait. If it's after the Devils Civil War.} What year is it?

Grayfia: 1721 AD my lord.

Haru had a bright idea enter his head. Something that could solve the asset and contact problem.

Haru: What's the rules with contact among humans?

Grayfia: There aren't many. Regular ethical rules and to minimise those that know about the supernatural. Why?

Haru: So... if I... happened to know one or... a few big events of the future. And I act on thoses creating a massive global conglomerate and gain significant power. Having powerful people under me in the human world. Also buying large shares of growing companies and gaining assets over the years in this conglomerate that I may or may not make. Solving the contract and asset problem. Would that be a problem?

Grayfia just stared at Haru as they looked at each other.

Grayfia: You know future events? How?

Haru: Ermmmmm... very very minor power. One time use. Can't ever see the future again type stuff.

Grayfia stared at Haru more. Haru began to sweat.

Grayfia: Well what you're saying isn't against the rules. Because there are no rules against it.

Haru: Nice. I'll do that later this evening.

Grayfia: {He'll just set up a massive conglomerate in a day?} Anyways someone has challenged you to a rating game. Details are supposed to be discussed today at 3pm.

Haru: Anyone powerful?

Grayfia: Compare to you or me?

Haru: Why not both? You are my queen.

Grayfia: Weak and weak.

Haru: Nothing to bother with then. What do you recommend the stakes should be?

Grayfia: I heard their after the World Tree. The family is a fading one so I recommend a seizure of assets. They're on their last legs and are desperate so they'll most likely agree to it. However, other families that don't like your promotion will most likely try and help. Discreetly that is.

Haru: So there won't be many assets but it will also put a message out there not to mess with me and my tree.

Grayfia gave a small smile.

Grayfia: Exactly. I also recommend you see Sirzechs about her wedding proposal. I think you've kept her hang long enough. The reason you didn't want to reply was so we could have our date first. It's rude to make a lady wait for a reply.

Haru: Im just going to say no. I'm not married to you and you're most definitely going to be my first.

Grayfia: No one's asking you to say yes. Just hear her out. I'm sure she has a lot to say. Besides a man with a harem shouldn't just have one wife.

Grayfia winked.

Haru: Understood. {I didn't say harem in the first place!}
