Haru pressed on the power Hawks Vision as he looked at his new power. His first power drawn from his Gacha ability.
[Hawks Vision (F) - Your visual acuity and visual distance is improved by a factor of 8 and with your normal vision you can now see ultraviolet light.]
Haru looked at the power. Reading it over and seeing it was actually pretty cool. Haru scurried looking for his cracked mirror. Pulling it out as he looked at his eyes. The pupils of Harus eyes were noticeable darker. His pupils like a normal humans were a black before. But this could only be described as pitch black after he got the power. The clarity in his eyes both red and purple became much clearer. Haru could see the more myriad of colours in the void of nothingness. So nothing really changed with his environment even with his much better vision. He tried to see if he could see something in the distance. Any trash he threw away into the void over the year, not a single visible as it had flown so far away.
But what Haru was really interested in was the technique. The Equilibrium of Six. Even without the significant knowledge of the technique that entered Harus mind when he got it. Haru knew what it was before. A cultivation technique from a manhwa Return of the Blossoming Blade. It had been so long since he read it and tried cultivating that he didn't remember much about it. But then it all surged through his mind and he knew EVERYTHING about it.
A technique that was considered the fundamental foundation of the Mount Hua Sect. A technique that unified the sky and the earth. The four cardinal directions of North, East, South and West. A technique that cleansed the body of impurities to create the perfect dantian and body for martial arts. While it was one tenth as effective as other internal qi techniques compared to others in its world. For Haru, it was the perfect solution.
Sitting down on the floor. The dirt underneath him with his legs crossed. Haru opened up a small brown bag. The small bag which was another bag of 18 Senzu beans now only had 5. But he knew well what a Senzu bean did.
The Senzu bean rejuvenate the body's physical state. An effect that was amazing for Haru when he first started eating them. But they also had a nourishing effect and... they could restore stamina and Ki reserves.
That was Harus idea. While there was magic in his body he guessed that maybe there wasn't enough. Guessing that there was only just a small amount. Enough to survive. But if he wanted to get stronger he needed more energy. And even though Ki, Qi and mana were different. They all worked on a fundamental level of being energy living organisms could manipulate or thrive off of.
So as Haru consumed the remaining 5 beans he felt an immense bloating. Equivalent to consuming 50 days worth of meals. But as Haru began to use the Equilibrium of Six technique he could feel it. The full energy inside of him. Haru cleansed his body and the energy inside as thick toxic droplets of black goop formed and fell from him. Haru cleansed and purified the violent outside energy he felt around him, and the pure calm energy he felt underneath him in the dirt. He cleansed all the impure energy as he absorbed it all. Beginning to for something in his body. Forming his energy into a dantian inside his body.
With all his energy it was no more than the size of his fist, located in the centre of his gut. But his dantian didn't need to be strong to start off with. It just needed to be a foundation for his future growth. A solid and sturdy foundation that wouldn't collapse or be a detriment to him in the future. Haru got up and smiled. Jumping up and celebrating.
Haru: YES! YES YES Y... *Pitu!* *Sigh*
Some of the black goop drops had fallen in his mouth as he spat out the disgusting taste. His clothes were also stained and there was still more black goop. Haru took off his clothes as he threw them into the void. Haru sighed again as he looked at the only liquid he currently had to wash off with. He looked at it and shook his head... but the stench from the impurities was revolting and he couldn't let it sink back through his pores.
Haru: *Sigh* No... no... *Sigh* I can't believe I'm going to do this. This is a new low.
Haru picked up the gamer girl bath water. It was in a small pink plastic bottle. 500mls. He could care who it was from. He couldn't care what the pink label said. He screwed off the cap as he raised in above his head. Closing his mouth, pinching his nose and closing his eyes... He poured it over his head as the water fell down his bare body. Carrying the black goop like impurities off his body as to not reabsorb them. But in that moment he had never felt more impure in his life. It was if he shed one impurity, the toxins and dirt within his body and energy. Exchanging it for another, shame. Strong strong shame.
But he staved away his incredible shame as he thought about the entire new avenues this opened up.
Haru: {It wasn't only the Ki from the Senzu Beans I purified, but I purified the mana in my body too. Though it wasn't a lot. RoKo probably gave me the bare minimum to survive. But there's so much I've uncovered. Ki, Qi and Mana all work on the same principles. I could tell the difference between the two but they were both nearly identical. And even with more mana I could still form a dantian. On top of that, the fact that I'm still alive means my body naturally circulates energy all throughout me even when I've formed it into a dantian. Finally...}
Haru had noticed something when he was using the Equilibrium of Six technique and absorbed minimal amounts of energy from his surroundings. He noticed the slight movement beneath him in the dirt and with his Hawks Vision he could see it. A nearly unnoticeable dip in the vast flat dirt. But it wasn't compacted when Haru poked it. It wasn't displaced. It was destroyed.
Haru: {I was right. Even Trash grade items have some form of energy that maintains it in the Dimensional Gap. That means that I don't need to throw out trash anymore. I can very slowly absorb it instead.}
Haru looked at his hands as he felt it. Just forming his core no matter how weak it was made him stronger. Not much to even be noticeable but it was something. Even if his body wasn't where it was before he got reincarnated. It was easy to accomplish what you had already accomplished before. Especially in these conditions. A Quasi Dragon God body, the ability to get powers techniques and items. And all the time in the world... no. In the universe.
Haru didn't know if he was missing the cannon timeline of DxD or if that had already long passed. RoKos letter was vague. But as long as he was free to get stronger. To his desired goal... to be at the peak... to not only be the strongest or smartest, but to be the best. To have fun while doing it. Exploring his long forgotten fun in anime and manga. He was more than happy to miss DxD. To reach his new goal.
To have fun.
And become god.
