Ch 76 - The Next Generation

All the pillars were seated in a large room. The pillars seated in curved rows facing the front of the room. The pillars of lower importance further at the front and those of higher importance at the top. Haru in the highest curved table, closest to the four Satans. The four Satans had their own table at the top.

???: This here is an evaluation of noble leaders and the next generation. Without any further thought let's get straight to business.

An older man said bellow. Meaning Haru had more power and political influence than them. Haru had more political influence than many in this room. That's what making ridiculous amounts of money, having a resource only you can supply and being a Dragon God gets you.

Everyone was looking at the six people standing at the front. Looking at all the pillars and Satans.

Sirzechs: The six of you represent the next generation of your esteemed families and possess outstanding skills and power. As such I aim to have you compete in hopes of bettering one another before your formal debut.

???: Rating games among the other lords?

Sirzechs: More of an exhibition. By inviting the leaders of the three factions we can use this as a bridge building spectacle. It's important that the three factions join together to further push back against external threats.

???: Will we be fighting against the Khaos brigade and the Unholy Angels?

A man taller and larger than the other 5 spoke up. Looking at Sirzechs while doing so.

Sirzechs: I can't say for certain but keeping the younger generation out of the conflict is for the best. If rising stars were to perish it would result in a immersible loss to the Underworld.

???: I understand.

Sirzechs: Now. Let's hear each one of your goals. You can go first.

Sirzechs indicated to the one that was asking the questions and speaking to him.

???: I dream of becoming a devil king.

???: Oh? A great king family has never produced a devil king before.

???: Once the people of the realm see me for my strengths both physically and politically I believe it will naturally happen.

When he stepped back Rias stepped forward.

Rias: My goals for the near future remain unchanged. To continue living as the heir of the Gremory family while winning rating game tournaments. {I hope you'll make a move on me soon Haru. That's my second dream. To be able to give you everything and for you to be able to do the same.}

Haru: {It's nice to see her dream has remained unchanged.}

Next Sona stepped forward. Looking at Haru as she began to speak.

Sona: As you all know Lord Gakia has already established a rating game school without barriers to class. My dream is to expand on his development so its no longer funded from his own pocket but widely accepted and available to all devils around the Underworld.

There was a brief silence before everyone started laughing out loud. Haru looked around and nearly everyone besides the Satans were laughing. It seemed he wouldn't be getting help with the schooling situation.

Haru: {Honestly it's not even a drop in the bucket compared to the money I have. I was planning on making more when I take more territories. But for them to be everywhere would be great. However, it's a difficult path Sona, but I respect it. She did come to me in asking to help and she's been very dedicated to helping manage the work load.}

???: HAHAHAHA! She's being ridiculous! A day dreaming little girl!

???: Good thing we arranged a face to face before a formal debut! Hahahaha! This dream would be a mockery!

Suddenly a massive aura burst out as Haru slightly slid his ring down his finger. Silencing everyone as he placed it back on properly.

Haru: I believe the idea is quite nice.

???: Of course you would! You're the one that made the first school!

???: There's no use arguing with him.

Serafall: Thank you for quieting the room Haru. If they kept on laughing I may have ripped one or two of their heads off!

Sona looked at Haru and Serafall with as smile as she stepped back. Haru then listened to the other dreams. Some had good dreams, others were... less than adequate. But Haru wasn't one of judge other's dreams. But with that the meeting was finally done. Haru and the other high ranking devils walked out after a boring discussion about the next generation that had left.
