Ch 45 - Convincing

After Haru dealt with Dohnaseek and Kalawarna. Beheading them while he was flying in the sky, causing him to burst into black feathers. Haru now had to try and convince Rias to take in a random nun for no conceivable reason. He was seated on a chair in her Occult Research Club. Rias was seated opposite Haru. Haru was on a large couch with Koneko on his lap feeding her sweets as he rubbed her head. Koneko enjoying the sweets.

Rias: I don't get why you keep recommending me people for my peerage. First it was issei, now a random nun. {It's nice he's trying to help but issei wasn't the best choice. A small, wimpy, degenerate that has sex in public. Though Haru described this nun in a better light.}

Haru: Not any random nun. A nun with a scared gear. And with my connection I heard it's a rare healing one that could heal angels and devils alike. {Yeah I don't have connections like that. I neglected an information network and focused on money.}

It was one of the few regrets he had. Not forming an underground network to supply him of information. He had hundreds of years and now he was only filthy rich. Though the idea would spur him to try and make one.

Rias: It sounds compelling... but no. {A healing scared gear is good but if she's a nun, she'll be going to that church. That would cause more problems than it's worth.}

Haru: Could you at least tell me why?

Rias: She's with the church. Which means if I do go after her, there's potential to get on the churchs bad side. Further more an attack on a Fallen Angel base is risky. I'd like to avoid getting involved with them and bringing trouble to Kuoh. Even if that means giving up a potentially good scared gear. It's not worth putting my current peerage at risk.

Haru: {She makes great points. And I love that she's gotten better. But I need her to make the irresponsible decision here.} What about if you could deal with a Fallen Angel problem with my help?

Haru was conflicted. Rias had gown up so well under him. But right now he needed a more irresponsible version of her. Someone that would make a bad decision.

Rias: We've been managing the problem fine without taking any extreme measures. Doing it myself with my peerage one by one helps us grow.

Haru: {Damn it! Why has she become more responsible! It's great I influenced her for the better but I can't just take in Asia myself. She's important to Rias's peerage. So was Issei but I'll have to make do.} Is there anything I can do to convince you. Shares in any company I own. I will do or give you any so you take this person in.

Rias: Why do you want me to take her in so much? {DON'T SAY HE FELL IN LOVE WITH A NUN!!

Haru: I... I think it would be really good for your peerage and your dream. But if you don't want to then I can't force you.

Rias: {Awwww. He's thinking of me. Maybe... I could take advantage of this.} On second thought there is something you can do for me. Then I'll take the nun in, but only with your help against the Fallen Angels.

Haru: What? Shares? Money? A whole company?

Rias: You.

Rias said as they looked at each other. Haru naturally had great hearing without any powers. But he still didn't think he heard that quite well.

Haru: Huh?

Rias: I want you to go on a date with me. A single date. Like the first one you went on with Grayfia. After I take in the nun of course. {This is the perfect opportunity to have him fall in love with me!}

Haru: {Really Grayfia. You even told her about our first date. I can only imagine that would be more embarrassing for you though. *Sigh*} Ok. I have no reason to disagree with that.

Rias: Promise.

Rias held out her pinky as Haru looked at it.

Haru: I promise. {That was easier than I thought. A date is all I have to do to potentially save the world.}

Haru pinkie swore with Rias.

Haru: I'll see you then. Koneko can you please move.

Koneko: I was told not to.

Haru looked at Koneko a second. Blinking a few times.

Haru: What?

Rias: Since you're here let's have some tea!

Akeno: I'm sure you would like some.

Akeno just came in and brought in a tray of tea and placed it down on the table.

Haru: {I guess if it's just tea it will be fine.}

Haru was there for hours as Koneko proceeded to hold onto Haru not allowing him to disappear. Not wanting to hurt her by prying her off. Haru stayed there, not only drinking a lot of tea but doing all of his favourite stuff. Watching anime, sleeping, eating various foods all made by Akeno and Rias. Koneko eating all the sweets Haru kept hidden in his Kimono.

Only when Koneko left because she needed the toilet did Haru get the chance to disappear. Leaving Akeno and Rias together in the Research Club with a bonsai tree.

Rias: We're definitely getting to him. I feel it.

Akeno: Yes. Though I don't get why he keeps on denying us even though he likes spending time with us.

Rias: I think it's a denial thing. From what Grayfia and Big Sis said, it sounded like it was more of their idea to make a harem for him. He just felt bad for Big Sis and fell in love with her along the way. Though I know for sure he definitely has feeling for us. The things he says, casually calling us pretty, asking me to hug him.

Akeno: Wait he asked you to hug him! No fair!

Rias: I also have a date with him.

Akeno: WHAT! SINCE WHEN?!

Rias: Since today. He promised one like the date he had with Grayfia.

Akeno: COME ON! That's no fair! You tricked him into that didn't you!

Rias: I actually don't think he realised what I meant.

Akeno: How could he. He's so innocent when it comes to us.

Suddenly the door opened as Kiba walked in. Looking at the pruned shavings of the bonsai tree. Rias and Akeno arguing.

Kiba: Did I miss something?

Kiba looked at the strange scene as Koneko came out of the bathroom with a sweet in hand and bed hair. The Occult Research Club was very strange today.
