Ch 56 - The Apologies

Haru was watching the Occult Research Club practicing Baseball, a school event running. But with Rias and her competitive nature, they were training hard to win. However, something was different. Fundamentally changed in this arc that Haru had to rectify. Without Isseis book of pictures from when he was young, Kiba didn't have any recollection of the Holy Sword Excalibur. He forgot what he was fighting for. He wouldn't have his awakening nor a deeper relationship with those in the peerage because of his struggles. So right now he was just enjoying baseball with his peerage.

Haru: {I wonder what I should do. This was a significant moment for him. The moment he would have unlocked his Balance Breaker. Would mentioning the Excalibur be enough? Guess it's worth a go.}

Haru sat and watched as they all played baseball. They were all in the same PE uniform besides Asia. Though he couldn't help but think she looked cute in it. After accepting that he definitely was the now proud owner of a harem and had completely messed up the cannon, Haru could no longer help but see things differently. See people, differently.

As Rias and her peerage took a break Haru got up and walked over to Kiba.

Kiba: Mr Gakia?

Kiba looked up at Haru as he looked down at Kiba.

Haru: Sorry for the inconvenience. I was just wondering something. You see I've been doing some work, and have come to realise that you may know something pertaining to the subject of this work.

Kiba: May know something? What do you mean?

Haru: You wouldn't happen to know anything about Excalibur? Would you?

Kibas atmosphere completely changed and Haru was feeling terrible he was doing this. But again, it was for the better.

Kiba: Why did you bring that up?

Kiba glared at Haru. Haru again felt terrible, but it had to be done.

Haru: I've heard that some pieces of the legendary sword are in Kuoh. You wouldn't happen to know anything at all about locating them or who may be in possession of them?

Kiba: I do not. I'm sorry Mr Gakia. But if you would excuse me.

Kiba moved passed Haru and walked off. But not to the rest of the peerage. He left instead. Haru felt terrible for doing that but it was a necessary step. But now he had to apologise to two completely different people. Walking over to Asia and Akeno and asking if they could talk in private. Both being more than happy to do so. Walking to the side of the Occult Research Club building. Then, when they were in private Haru bowed in the most sincere way possible.

Haru: I'm sorry for dismissing your feelings about me. I... I had a problem that I couldn't help but think of before this. But I have come to realise that shouldn't interfere with how I feel about you two. So please forgive me.

Asia grew a blush as she looked at Haru bowing sincerely.

Asia: W-Wait! There's no need to apologise!

Akeno: Asia wait. Remember what Rias said.

Akeno grinned as Haru shivered. What exactly did Rias tell them?

Asia: What... Oh! No... we won't forgive you.

Asia said which actually really hurt Haru. It was completely unlike Asia to say that, which only hurt more.

Akeno: Not unless you do something for us.

Haru: {*Sigh* How do I keep getting set up. You'd think I'm an idiot at this point.} What could I do to have you forgive me?

Akeno: I want one single date of my choice.

Asia: A-And I... I want... you to hug and kiss me whenever I ask! AND I WANT YOU TO LIVE WITH ME!

Akeno looked at Asia as she was so nervous. She gave a small giggle. Haru stood straight as he looked confused.

Haru: I... I don't think I can do that last thing.

Akeno: Grayfia and Sirzechs believe differently.

Haru: What? {It's all been one massive set up! IT WAS A TRAP!}

Akeno: I believe their words were "Living with a potential wife is fine since we have more than thousands of years to spend together."

Haru looked at Akeno as he then looked at Asia.

Haru: Oh... Are you sure about that then Asia?

Asia: Y-Y-Yes!

Haru: Then I'll be happy to grant you both what you want. As a genie says. Your wish is my command.

Akeno: Great! I'll tell you when I plan to use our date. But for now...

Akeno walked up to Haru as she kissed his cheek.

Akeno: Mommy's got to go practice~.

Akeno turned around and strutted off with her hips swaying. Haru just looked. The swaying hips looked hypnotic. And Haru just had one thought. "Wow. I definitely have mommy issues. Damn."

Asia: I-I want a hug and kiss n-now! Please.

Asia said with a nervous blush. Slightly jealous. She knew she was being really forward but this was the only idea she had. The only idea she had to get closer to Haru. Haru looked at Asia as he walked to Asia, wrapping his arms around her waist. Asia wrapping her arms around Haru as she blushed. Haru was looking down at her emerald eyes. Haru couldn't help but smile.

Haru: Don't lose that innocence to you ok?

Asia: Y-Y-Yes.

Asia said in a blushing nervous look. Closing her eyes and making a kissing face which Haru found adorable. Gently Haru kissed Asia. They didn't do anything more than put their lips together. Arms wrapped around each other. Remaining still. Yet Haru felt connected to her deeply. As the kiss parted Asia seemed to look lovestruck. Harus heart was beating abnormally fast.

Asia: I-I...

Haru put a single finger over Asias lips.

Haru: Not yet. Let's spend some more time with each other ok?

Haru knew what she was about to say but he couldn't hear it yet. His heart might have exploded if he did. He felt an unusual deep connection to Asia. Asia looked as she smiled hugging him tightly. It wasn't a "don't say that" it was a "Not yet." Which meant Haru and her at some point would be together and that's all she really cared about. Not how much time it may take for them to be together.

But the fact that it was going to happen.
