Ch 99 - A New Subordinate (1)

Haru and Rias appeared in the underworld in Harus bedroom as Grayfia was surprised to see them. Reading a book as she sat there slightly lying back.

Rias: Wait are we doing it right now?!

Grayfia: Doing what? Haru you know you have work.

Haru: I just came here to get changed. Rias has somewhere to take me after school correct?

Haru looked at Rias as she was confused. Thinking for a moment as she widened her eyes.

Rias: Wait! How did you know about that?! I wasn't even thinking about that!

Haru smiled as he placed on his nice Kimono. The one with dragon patterns. Placing on nice clothes and crocks. The black ones with small little dragons in the crock holes.

Grayfia: {What's his obsession with crocks?! I thought I threw those ones out.}

Haru: I have spares hidden away throughout the castle.

Grayfia: *Sigh* Of course you do. At least take out the small little dragon add-ons.

Haru: Nope.

Haru smiled as Grayfia sighed. Going back to read her book as it seemed Haru was enjoying his new found freedom that Grayfia was currently immobile from being heavily pregnant with twins. Only able to barely walk around and fly.

Grayfia: Just don't try and take over the underworld while I'm not keeping you in check.

Haru: No promises.

Haru walked over and kissed Grayfia. Holding her stomach as he felt the life growing inside of her. Though they were growing a lot faster than anticipated.

Haru: {Huh. Maybe it's a Dragon God thing. They aren't usually born like this and just appear into existence. Nice to know for the future.} I love you Grayfia, and my two little babies.

Rias: WAIT THERE ARE TWO?!

Grayfia: Oh yeah. We forgot to tell everyone they were twins. Huh. Well, goodbye Haru. Love you.

Grayfia kissed Haru as he smiled. Walking to Rias who was still shocked. Teleporting away.

Grayfia: I still haven't thought of names for you two yet. Ah I should have asked Haru while he was here on break. *Sigh* Oh well. I think I already have a name for my little girl that Haru may like. Though what do I name you little boy. Haru jr? Nah. That's dangerous with Akeno involved. Hmmmm. I guess I'll name our little girl and he'll name our little boy. I'm sure he'll think of something. He always does.

Grayfia smiled as she went back to reading. Glad Haru forced her to rest as it was a nice change of pace from her constant maid and territory management work. Sitting there reading a book.

Time skip

After the end of school, Rias was in a black car with Haru. The driver going through the underworld as Haru relaxed. Though being so tall, relaxing in such a regular sized car was hard.

Haru: {I remember when they had spacious carriages. Ah how I would have taken a carriage ride over this crapped car ride any day.}

Rias: So as I was saying. Sairaorgs butler has requested of my mother to see if there is anything we could do for her while she is inflicted with a disease that has kept her in a deep coma. I tried to see if Asias healing would work as she has gotten a lot better using it, but even that hasn't worked. But then I thought you could do it seeing as... well you can bring people back to life.

Haru: I can sometimes bring people back to life. {Though I believe that one time was a... unique case.}

The car went through the greenery of the Sitri region. A place with the best medical care in the underworld. Pulling up to a large blue building coloured with yellow wooden stairs, railing and window blinds. Rias and Haru getting out of the car, greeted by a man wearing black butler's attire and an older complexion. Greying hair with a widowed peak hairline. Without words the butler bowed as he had his hand out. Guiding Rias and Haru inside and through the care facility. To one room in particular. Walking down the stairs in the room full of paintings and one large bed. A woman lying in bed. Her hair was  brown and she had a pale complexion. Hooked up to IV fluids and a few pieces of medical equipment.

Butler: Her is Misla Bael lord Haru. Master Sairaorgs mother. I summoned Rias her out of my own volition and have not informed master Sairaorgs. So despite the circumstances of my request. Please lend your strength to awaken her.

Haru looked at Misla lying there deep in a coma. Looking at her pale appearance.

Haru: Why haven't you told Sairaorgs?

Butler: I believe that regarding his mother it is a sensitive matter that should be handled with care. If you cannot do anything, giving him false hope would only pain him. Lord Haru.

Haru: Well, I can wake her.

Butler: That's...

Haru: I don't know if I should though.

The butler and Rias looked shocked at Haru as he looked at the lying unconscious woman.

Butler: W-Why wouldn't you do it if it's within your capabilities Lord Haru?!

Haru: The same reason I don't immediately stop world hunger or end all wars. Why I don't cure all sickness and disease. It's against my interests and the good of others.

Rias: Wait how Haru?!

Haru: This disease is incurable. If I wake her up, I'll have to do so for everyone with the disease as you can't keep the fact she's okay a secret forever. Then when that happens people with other diseases will come. More and more. People with genetic defects or disorders will come. More and more and more.

Butler: So you don't do it because it will be too much work?!

Haru: Not nearly. I'd single handedly destroy every medical institution in the underworld. The ones tying to find ways to cure diseases will stop. The Sitri clan makes a lot of their budget off medicine yet if I cute everything their entire territory may go belly up. You'll all become dependent upon me. Then if I disappear. You're all in a trouble I put you in.

Butler: I... I... {I can't say anything against that. If he can just solve problems like that. The medical industry will take a nose dive. Territory's that rely on it will be in shambles and if we rely on him and he leaves for any reason. We'll all be in a trouble we couldn't pull ourselves out of.}

Haru: Now your understanding. Though there is one way I can fix this issue.

Butler: HOW?! I... I apologise Lord Haru. H-How would we fix this issue?

Haru: I'd have to wipe the memory of every single thing that knows of her condition. Essentially making it so that she never fell into a coma. Not even herself would remember. But doing such a thing for one person, to change and manipulate everyone's memories, I'm against such an act.

The butler looked at Haru. Hearing he could do such a thing and bowing. Getting in his hands and knees.

Butler: I'll do anything. If it's at all possible to bring her back. Even my life I'll give. So please awaken my lady.

Haru: There's nothing you can offer me. Yet her awakening is not out of the realm of possibility. Not for him.

Haru looked over as he forcefully teleported Sairaorgs in the room. Looking around as he looked at Haru and his mother. The butler bowing on the ground. Sairaorgs glared at Haru.

Sairaorgs: What do you think you're doing?
