A/N: oh boy this is a long chapter but it was fun to write:)

We arrived at the Capital as the three of us sported demons masks and cloaks, curtesy of Gillian. We currently were hiding in an alleyway, looking out at the streets where demons seemed to be celebrating. The streets were decorated and it was filled with laughter and cheers, these demons weren't doing anything wrong. Sure what they're celebrating is wrong, but it's apart of their culture.

"The festival's already started," Emma nervously says as she looks out at the crowd.

"Yeah, we got here later than expected," Ray complained.

"Do you think Oliver's group will be okay?" Emma worriedly adds.

"I'm sure they'll be fine," Ray assures.

I point at the castle off in the distance, "Norman is probably up there."

Suddenly a loud explosion goes off on the streets as debris is flown. The explosion was so powerful it knocked the three of us back. Once the smoke cleared, we saw the damage it had done—buildings and demons were completely destroyed and killed.

I gasped at the sight of children screaming and crying, others trying to help those out from the rubble.

I'm positive that Norman was behind the blast, and it was disgusting to think about.

"Damn it, Norman's attack has already started," Ray curses.

"I swear to god, when I see Norman I am going to kill him!" I seethe.

"Emma, Ray?!" We hear two voices behind us as we turn to see Don and Gilda. "And Y/N?!"

The two suddenly engulfed the three of us into a group hug.

"Oh my god!"

"You three are safe!"

Emma smiles as the hug disbands, "Hayato is with you too!"

Gilda nods and points over to a girl with tan skin and white hair, "this is Ayshe. But also..."

We look past them to see two familiar looking demons, Mujika and Sonju. While Ray and I greeted the two with open arms, Emma only stood there with watery eyes.

Mujika walked over to Emma and hugged the girl as she hugged back. "It's all going to be okay...thank you for doing your best..."

"I'm so glad you're safe..."

"I'm glad you're safe too, Emma."

Emma pulls away, "I promise that I'll stop Norman."

"Actually the fact you three are here," Don smiles, "does that mean the promise was a success?"

Emma nods, "yes. I was able to form a new promise with him." Emma then told Gilda and Don about how demons were actively searching for the hideout, so Oliver and the others were in charge of things back there.

"That's not the only problem though," Ray starts, "the other problem is the poison that Norman had one of his guys make. Norman is probably going to use it here and it will kill every demon in the city." Ray looks at Gilda and Don, "he's yet to do anything, but if push comes to shove, I need you guys to minimize the damage."

Emma nods, "yeah. But you guys need to prioritize your lives too. If it's dangerous, run."

Sonju then hands Emma a small device, claiming that it's a transmitter that he stole off of Hayato. "If you need help once inside the castle, press that button, and we'll come running."
