Mama's Boy

A/N: yall thought it was sad before? Get ready for ✨depression✨ also headcannon: Ray is a mama's boy and just doesn't wanna admit it<3

YOUR POV:

"So, what do you plan to do now?" Mama asks, looking at Emma.

"We're going to leave for now," Emma states, "there's still two thousand imperial soldiers on the way, not only that, but we have other things to do." Emma smiles brightly and walks up to Emma, "I always wanted to come back to Grace Field before we left. I want you and everyone else to come with us to the human world."

Mama's eyes widen at Emma's proposal before she gives a sad and regretful look, "I've already made a new promise. I mean you all don't have to come to the human world, but it's probably better than here, right?"

"You're going to forgive us?" One of the Sister asks.

"After everything we've done," another adds.

Mama glances back at her fellow Sisters, "we'll stay here, though I do appreciate—."

"Just get over it already," Ray finally says which causes Mama to look over at him with wide eyes. "I know you're sick of all of this. If you have regrets, you can bring them over to the human world and complain about it there too."

Ray walks over to his mom, "I'm glad I'm alive. I've grown and learned a lot, not only that, but I can atone for my sins."

You had me thinking this was going to be a sentimental moment Ray.

"Nobody is going to resent anyone for their past actions," Ray admits. "So come with us, all of you."

Mama's eyes twinkle in the florescent lights above. Countless kids run up to Mama and engulf her in a hug, she was taken back by the kind gesture, but her eyes only remained on one kid in particular—Ray.

I couldn't even imagine what either one was thinking, especially Mama. She was probably feeling so guilty for the things she's done. She was the one who sent our siblings to their deaths without a second thought. But despite that, she allowed us to escape on that faithful night.

Mama began to sob and she cried and hugged all the kids. I looked over at Ray who was looking away. I frowned and walked over to the boy, "don't you want to go and hug her?"

Ray looks at me with an unreadable expression.

"You don't have to hide your feelings you know," I say. "It's obvious that Mama is upset for the things she's done, and I think a lot of that has to do with what she's done to you."

Emma then speaks up, "it's settled then. Once everything is resolved, we'll come back here."

Isabella wipes her eyes with a nod, "and until then, Grace Field will operate as usual. And don't worry, nobody knows of this betrayal yet. Leave Grace Field and everything else to us. So please, be careful."

Emma smiles, "alright, we'll be back soon then!"

We make our way down the hall as Norman presses the button on his receiver, "Cislo, we're going to evacuate now, how is everything on your end?"

"Well, it was fine until a bunch of imperial soldiers showed up! They're headed toward the outer bridge!"

Hayato lets out a panicked scream, "that's not good! We should run! We should run!"

One of the Sister came running down the hallway as she called after us. In her hands was a tablet as she handed it off to Emma, it was a message from the Capital.
