My eyes fluttered open as my eyes adjusted to the bright light above me. I sat up and saw Ray sitting on the edge of the bed staring at me. I couldn't help but feel nervous, "you got a staring problem, bud?"

He sighs, "I'm just relieved you're awake. You're not going to leave again, are you?" Despite Ray's harsh tone and clear annoyance, his eyes showed worry.

I pull my knees close to my chest, "are you nervous that I'm going to leave you?"

He shakes his head, "of course not."

"Ray, you're bluffing. I know you're worried," i reply.

"No I'm not," he argues. "I'm just worried you'll disappear like Emma did."

Did I hear that right?

"What do you mean Emma disappeared?!" I exclaim.

"Woah, woah. Chill out. Emma isn't here right now, I think she's with him." Ray explains, "but...that's just a guess."

"Ah!" I exclaim, "yeah she's with him. Actually Ray, when we all held hands...where did you two go?"

"We were in like void space with a floating cube," he answers, "but you weren't there. Where did you go?"

"I met with him," I say. I bit my lip as I thought back on our conversation, the fact that I may or may not remember my life here once I cross over.

"Experiment Zero right? What did you learn?"

I opened my mouth to say something, but thankfully, the door busted open with a lively Gillian. Her mouth was gapping open as she stared at me, she then rushed over and engulfed me into a tight hug.

"I was so worried about you!" She exclaims as she pulls away. "Ray and you returned without Emma, and yeah I was worried about Emma, but you were really pale! Are you okay?!"

I laugh, "Gillian, I'm fine. I promise you."

She sighs in relief, "I was so worried..! A-And Ray wouldn't even let me visit you!" She crosses her arms, "he's so over protective."

I lightly kick Ray under the blanket as he groans, "she wouldn't stop pestering me!"

"She was just worried, Ray."

"Yeah Ray, I was just worried!"

"Hey Gillian," I hum, "can you do me a favor?"

She stands up straight, "of course! Whatever you need!"

I smile, "could you bring me a book?"

She nods, "sure! What's it called?"

I give her a random book off the top of my head as she solutes and quickly leaves, shutting the door behind her.

I sigh, "now that she's—."

"Do you ever get the feeling she likes girls?"

I choked on my spit and coughed, "w-what?"

"You know," he crosses his arms, "do you think she wants to kiss girls?"

I shrug, "would that be a problem?"

He shakes his head, "no...but I get the idea that she likes you...as more than a friend."

I couldn't help but smile at the thought of someone else liking me beside Ray. But then it clicked, the reason why Ray drove her off during my slumber. "Are you jealous of our relationship?"
