A/N: short chapter:)
YOUR POV:
Emma returned as if she never left. I couldn't help but get overly happy at the fact she had returned safely. I was worried that something bad was going to happen her, not that anything bad happened to Ray and I.
"It's currently November 7th of 2047, and it's been three hours since N/N and I returned. Norman and his army are headed toward the Imperial Capital, and then Don and Gilda are out searching for Mujika and Sonju. The plan to eliminate the demons is going smoothly. That's all the information you wanted to know," Ray says to Emma, "so, were you able to make a new promise?"
Emma nods, "yep! That means everyone can escape to the human world without being pursued or killed."
"Really?" Rossi asks.
Emma nods again as the children cheer.
"What about the reward?" Ray curiously asks.
"It was fine, but I'll tell you later," Emma smiles.
"Fine, I'll get the details later. But we need to hurry up and leave," Ray suggests as Emma gives a confused look. "Thoma and Lannion found out something concerning. Norman doesn't only want to kill the higher ups, but also every demon in the Imperial Capital."
Emma's eyes widen at hearing such devastating news. "We've gotta go then. Come on."
"Our deadline is when Norman kills the aristocrats and the royal family." Ray states, "of course we need to make sure Norman doesn't kill any demons living in the Capital, but if he kills the royal family and the aristocrats, the structure of their society will fall apart."
"W-What does that mean?" One of the kids nervously asks.
"It means if we're too late, it's all over with," I affirmed.
Emma nods, "not only that, but war may be inevitable."
"The Tifari offers the perfect opportunity for the royal family and the aristocrats to be at the same place at the same time. Norman wouldn't want to miss this perfect opportunity," Ray explains. "He'll probably act and take them out first. But it doesn't matter, we have to make sure that we get there in time so we can persuade Norman not to do anything stupid."
"How far is the Imperial Capital?!" Emma exclaims.
"It would take us five days tops," Ray replies.
"But what about short cuts?" Emma asks.
"About three," Ray tells her.
Anna then speaks up nervously, "but it's already afternoon...that leaves only two and half days until the celebration..!"
"You'll barely make it in time," Lannion says.
"Not only that, you'll arrive in the middle of a war zone!" Thoma adds.
"A-And you just came back Emma," Mark trails off.
Nat nods, "yeah, but also Ray and Y/N."
"Emma!" Yvette screams as she comes rushing toward us with her arms flailing about, "there you are!"
"Yvette? What's going—?" Emma begins as Yvette points behind her.
We look to see Oliver, Gillian, Nigel and Zack with horses. It came as a shock to us three, but we took their offer and traveled by horse toward the Imperial Capital.
"I didn't know you guys knew how to ride horses!" Emma gasps as she holds onto Oliver.
Nigel laughs, "you seriously thought we were going to just sit around and do nothing while you three were at the Seven Walls?"
"We're still not experts though," Gillian warns.
"But why..?" Emma asks, "especially you Gillian! I thought you were against saving demons."
Gillian sadly smiles, "yeah, I want to kill all the demons for hurting me and my friends. But...I also really want to help my friend with her dream."
"Enough chatting, we're going full throttle!" Oliver announces, "we'll take you to the Imperial Capital!"
