Mila's POV
2 weeks na akong nandito sa Spain ngunit hanggang ngayon ay di ko pa nakikita si grandpa. Siya ang nagpatawag ng emergency family meeting. Minsan lang siya magpatawag kaya lahat ng tumutulong sa akin ay agad na nataranta at pinatawag ako agad.
It's already been 2 weeks but grandpa hasn't given the go signal to go to his mansion for the meeting. Van, my butler-slash-secretary told me that my grandpa told him to tell me. As my secretary Van got excited and anxious for me to come back because just like I said this is a rare opportunity.
Van interpret it as urgent and emergency.
The whole family De Vera will be there. Including my father and his wife together with their sons and daughter. My aunt, my father's sister and her family.
I don't really want to go. He's just going to asked about how the family doing and he's going to invest to the businesses that they're going to introduced. As for me, I don't have any business that I need him to invest into. I'm good on my own. I don't need his money.
It's just... I want to see him because I missed him and to confirm if he really did heard about what happened to me.
Napatingin ako sa cellphone kahit na alam kong wala namang papasok na messages doon. Di na ako aasa pa kay Terrence na tatanggapin niya ang alon ko.
The way he looked at me that night is still bothering everyday. I hurt his feelings but he has the right to know the conditions if he wants to stay.
Just like I said, it's good for my pregnancy if his around but I can raised this kid just fine without him. However I can't deny it... I missed him.
Ilang araw lang kami nagtabi sa iisang kama, namiss ko na agad ang mainit niyang yakap at ang ingay niya.
He always make my day special. He always has something to tell, something to wonder and something to share. I like that about him.
I like the way he talk about himself, I like the way he smiles when he see me, I like the way he carries my tummy as if it's the most important thing in the world. I like his sweet words and I like his sexy a*s.
Napabuntong hininga ako. "I missed him."
"Who is?" Tanong ni Van na kanina pa naghihintay sa mga iuutos ko.
Di ko siya pinansin at nanatili lang ang tingin sa labas ng bintana habang nakaupo sa swivel chair dito sa opisina ko.
"My lady, you still have work to do. This is not the best time to slack off." Paalala niya. "Don Villamor gave this work because he knows you can do a better job than your father and you never get tired when it comes to Don, so, what happened?"
Unlike Felix, Van is more of a curious type of guy. He's responsible, caring and he's really good at his job but he's nosy. He wants to know everything and anyone around me.
"Did living in the Philippines made you like this?"
"Van..." mahina kong tawag.
"Yes, my lady?"
"Get me some food, will you? I'm hungry."
"My lady, you've been eating a lot lately, I'm concerned about the weight your gaining." Walang emosyon akong napatingin sa kanya. Pinagpatuloy niya ang sinasabi na para bang wala talaga siyang pakialam sa sasabihin ko. "I'm worried about your health and the food your taking."
I tilted my head and gave him a questioning look.
Did Felix not told him about the pregnancy?
"But anyway, what do you want?" This is him. He have something to say about my orders but he'll do it anyway with proficiency.
"Steak medium rare, salad, fries and chips. I want lemon tea and brownies for dessert."
"Uh... My lady, you already have breakfast 2 hours ago and you're eating lunch now?" Kunot noo niyang tanong.
"No. That's just a snack." Ngumiti ako ng tipid sa kanya. "Go on and please call a Doctor."
"What? Are you sick?" He worriedly asked.
"No. But my tummy is. Call the OBGYN." Utos ko na ikinalito niya.
"Why would I call the..." Natigilan siya at biglang may napagtanto. "Wait..m do you still asking for a miracle so you could get pregnant?!" Di makapaniwala niyang sabi.
Nirolyo ko naman ang mata. Akala ko ay makukuha na niya.
"You need Jesus not an OB."
"Just do what I ask you to do."
It's been 2 months since my last check up. I don't feel sick. I don't have any symptoms that I'm pregnant except for the cravings.
Tumayo ako at tiningnan ang sarili sa salamin.
May maliit nang umbok ang tiyan ko ngunit hindi iyon halata. Bigla akong bahala dahil sa biglang pumasok sa isip ko.
Paano kung wala talaga?
Agad kong inalis ang tingin ko sa salamin nang nakita ang ekspresyon ko.

Napatingin ako sa cellphone na nasa lamesa nang bigla itong mag ring. Lumapit ako doon at tiningnan ang tumawag. Nanlaki ang mata ko nang makita ang caller ID.
He called?!
Agad ko iyong sinagot. Puno ng saya ang naramdaman ko dahil sa wakas ay maririnig ko na siya
Walang ingay sa kabilang linya.
Is he still mad at me?
"Ter?" Di ko alam pero kinakabahan ako sa susunod na maririnig ko mula sa kanya.
Di naging maganda ang paghihiwalay namin sa airport.
This call can end our relationship or he'll stay. On this call, he will tell me what's his decision.
"Ter? Short for Terrence?" Bigla akong nanlamig nang makarinig ng boses ng babae. May bahid na pangungutya ang tono niya.
Nakaramdam ako ng kakaibang galit at inis na di ko maipaliwanag.
I have a lot of questions in my mind but I could tell that I want to kill this person for some reason.
"Is this Camilla?" Mariin akong napapikit at sinubukang kalmahin ang sarili bago magsalita.
"Who are you? Where's Terrence?" Malamig kong tanong.
"He's right beside me." Terrence ... What are you doing? "We're going to have a wonderful night..." Malambing niyang sabi.
I'm going to kill her... Then Terrence.
"My lady, do you want a sandwich? There are also sandwiches in the kitchen."
Pinatay ko ang tawag dahil di ko na kaya. Binitawan ko ang cellphone at napatingin sa screen.
It's night there I'm sure.
I'm on the edge of the cliff right now. I want to burst in anger and destroy everything in the office but I want to keep it in. I don't wanna ruin the papers here, I have a job.

Di umiikot ang mundo ko kay Terrence.

Bumalik na lamang ako sa ulirat sa pagsigaw ni Van. Doon ko lang napansin na sumasakit na ang tiyan ko.
Napatingin ako doon at may dugo ngang lumalabas galing sa gitna ng hita ko.
"V-Van..." Napatingin ako kay Van na may dala dala ng cellphone sa tenga at tumatakbo na papunta sa akin.
Biglang bumigat ang talukap ko hanggang sa magdilim na ang lahat.
