- I can't wait any longer for that trip, - my sister said excitedly, and once again, I was the one who didn't know what she was talking about.

- What? How? What trip, Romina? - I said, noticing her face was one of those you make when you mess up.

- Uhh... I don't know... didn't Mom tell you? -

- Tell me what, Romina? Please tell me, -  I said, focusing on her, as she pretended to be carefree, looking at her phone until I took it away.

- Victoria, give me the phone! -

- Not until you tell me. -

- I can't tell you. Mom or Dad should tell you. -

- But what? Why do you always exclude me from everything? -

- It's not that we exclude you, it's because we don't know how you'll react. -

- I've never taken anything badly from what people tell me. -

- It depends on what, hehe. -

We stayed silent for a moment, as my sister didn't know how to bring up the topic again, so I asked.

- And? So, are you going to tell me what this trip is about? -

- Uhh well... the thing is that... -

"What... what?"

- We're going to live in Hawaii, - I looked at her with a face of not understanding anything.

"Relax Vicky, relax... My conscience sometimes helps, now it didn't help at all. I thought about saying something but I was so blocked, and I don't know if it was excitement, sadness, happiness, or what, although leaving Flor (my best friend) and even leaving Renzo here didn't seem nice at all.

- What do you mean? -

- You should go talk to mom and dad, because they told me not to tell you until they think it's the right time. -

- Of course I have to talk to them, they never tell me anything and I always find out through you, - I said as I jumped off the bed and went down to the kitchen where my parents were.

- What's this about going to live in Hawaii? - I asked with a slightly annoyed tone.

Mom let out the air she had accumulated and looked at me.

- Did Romina already tell you? -

- Yes, of course she did, just like always, I find out things through her. -

She approached me and put a hand on my shoulder.

- But don't you like the idea, dear? There are beautiful beaches there and you can bring your surfboard... And even meet new people. It's going to be like an eternal vacation. -

That's one good part...

- Yes mom, I know, but leaving Renzo here, Flor, and the whole family... I don't know. Besides, we have everything here. -

Then I looked at dad, who wanted to say something but a call came in and he stepped away a bit.

I tried to listen to what he was saying. "...we'll be there in six days... yes, thank you." He ended the call and came back to explain to me. My eyes widened when I heard that. I just found out that we're going to Hawaii and it turns out we're leaving in less than a week. This is incredible. So much information.

- Vicky, I know it's difficult for you to relate and change environments, but believe me, Hawaii will change that and you'll like it, -  my father said as he gave me a squeeze on the shoulder.
