It's still early, I think everything that happened in the early morning is going to make the day heavier.
I decided to go back home to get some more rest, but before that, we're going to the hospital to visit Danna's mother. I'm not sure if I should tell Luke or Laila what happened; maybe Danna doesn't want that and prefers to talk about it herself.
While I was going back home, I couldn't stop yawning and rubbing my eyes. I was very tired.
Upon arriving, I saw my father talking on the phone; I think he was talking to the police officer because he mentioned something about a trial.
I guess we'll have to go testify since we're witnesses to the situation.I took off Kimba's collar and went to the kitchen for a glass of water.
My mother was there, almost falling asleep with her coffee cup.- Mom, don't you want to sleep for a bit?
- No, we have to go to the hospital. When we come back, I'll go to sleep. - she replied and then yawned.
- Don't worry, if you want, I'll go, and you can go later in the afternoon. Besides, I'm not sure if they'll let both of us into the room.
She thought about it for a moment and then nodded.
I don't think I can go there feeling so tired.I grabbed an apple and went to my room.
I sat on the hammock to rest for a bit.
I was waiting for my father to finish the call so I could ask him to take me to the hospital; after all, he didn't seem as tired as my mother.Sitting there, I almost fell asleep, but a notification on my phone prevented me from doing so.
It was Luke sending me a text message.Luke: Good morning! How are you?
I'm not going to tell him everything that happened, at least not over text.
Vicky: Hey, I'm fine, just a bit sleepy.
Luke: I'm also fine, thanks for asking.
Vicky: Sorry, how are you, Luke? Good? Bad?
Luke: The word "bad" doesn't exist in my vocabulary, so I'm good.
He always manages to make me smile with his cute character.
Vicky: Impossible that you're feeling bad, you always make people laugh haha.
Luke took a while to respond.
Luke: Sorry for the delay, I went to get some tissues. You made me cry.
Vicky: Oh, how funny, take my words seriously.
Luke: Who said I'm not taking it seriously? Do you want me to send you a photo of my swollen eyes?
Vicky: I can't believe you're crying...
Luke: Sends a photo. Do you believe me now? I'm very sensitive, sorry.
The photo showed his teary eye. I laughed because it was so endearing.
Vicky: I'm going to save this photo because you look very cute.
Luke: As long as it's you, it doesn't matter.
I smiled.
Vicky: Well, see you later, okay? I have to go now.
Luke: Okay, I'll come by your house later.
We ended the conversation and I went to Romina's room to see what she was doing, she's probably sleeping. And yes, she is. Her body wasn't even visible, it seemed like the bed had swallowed her.
Then I went downstairs to the living room where my dad was having coffee.
- Dad, could you take me to the hospital? I want to see Danna and her mother.
- Yes, of course, I'll take you. I also want to know how they are after everything they went through. - he said with sadness and went to get the car keys.
- Mom's not coming because she's tired, she said she'll go later in the afternoon. - I informed as I got into the car.
- Yeah, I understand. - he got into the car and we drove off.
