Laila looked at Danna with a disgusted expression, and it seemed like she was about to hit her.

And of course, I also wanted to hit her, but that's not a solution.

Knowing where this situation was headed, I played along.

"Nice to meet you! Luke had already told me about you," I lied.

"And did he tell you..." Laila couldn't finish her sentence because Zac cut her off.

"He didn't talk to me about you," said Danna, crossing her arms.

"I'm sure he'll tell you very good things about me," I said, smiling falsely, and Danna raised her eyebrows.

"What did you want, Danna?" Luke said without looking at her.

"Nothing, dear. I just came to say hi and meet your little friend," Danna said without taking her eyes off me.

"I'm not your dear," Luke said, looking very annoyed and uncomfortable until Danna left, making her shoes click on the floor.

"I can't stand her!!" Laila said, putting her hand to her forehead.

"Nobody can stand her..." Caleb said.

Luke approached me to apologize for how Danna had behaved. Actually, I didn't care about her behavior; I care about what happened between her and Luke, what Laila was going to say. Besides, he doesn't have to apologize.

We went to the beach with some other people to clean up, and there aren't many plastics like in Uruguay. After finishing, we all went back home, and Luke hadn't changed his expression since we saw Danna. I'm not sure if I should ask him what happened, but I will at some point.

We entered the house, and I went upstairs to change. My parents had told me that we were going to see the house they were probably going to buy. Romina was changing, and while I waited for her, I played with Kimba a bit. Luke had left with his skateboard, and I don't know where he went.

Romina was ready, and we got into the car where our parents were waiting.

"What's wrong with Luke?" Romina asks.

"He's been acting strange since this morning after talking to his ex," I said, looking out the window.

"Ex-girlfriend?" my mother asks.

"Yes. We ran into her at school today, and it wasn't a pleasant encounter."

"What happened?" my father wants to know.

"I think she didn't like my presence."

Romina rolled her eyes.

"What's the stuck-up girl's name?"

"Danna."

Romina grabbed her phone, and it seemed like she was going to look her up on Instagram.

"Is this her?" she asks, handing me her phone.

"Yes, definitely."

"What a toad face, seriously. And she's acting jealous. How silly."

I couldn't help but laugh. She doesn't have a toad face; she's very pretty, but her attitude doesn't help.

Romina kept criticizing her, but I wasn't listening anymore.

"Jealousy?" my father murmured quietly, looking at my mother knowingly.

I glanced at my phone because I received a message from an unknown number.

When I opened it, it said:
