I awaken slowly, my surroundings unfamiliar at first until the memory of falling asleep on Vox's sofa comes flooding back. Surprised to find myself in his bed, I stretch languidly, feeling the warmth of the covers enveloping me in comfort. With a soft sigh, I sit up, taking in the serene ambiance of Vox's bedroom. After a moment of gathering my thoughts, I decide to seek out Vox, curious to see where he might be. With a sense of anticipation, I make my way through the penthouse, eventually finding him in the security room, surrounded by monitors displaying various camera feeds. As I enter the room, Vox is deeply engrossed in his task, his attention fixated on the screens before him. I pause for a moment, watching him work with a sense of admiration. Clearing my throat to announce my presence, Vox turns to face me, a warm smile gracing his lips as he greets me. The sight of his welcoming expression fills me with a sense of reassurance, and I can't help but return the smile, grateful for his presence in my life.

As I approached Vox in the security room, his attention briefly diverted from the monitors to focus on me. With a playful glint in his eyes, he remarked, "Well, if it isn't the sleeping beauty finally gracing me with her presence. Did you have a good rest?". I chuckled at his playful jab and settled comfortably onto his lap, feeling the warmth of his embrace. "Like a lo"," I replied with a contented sigh, leaning back against him. "What's all this?" I gestured to the array of screens displaying different views of the town. Vox's grin widened as he glanced at the monitors before us. "Just keeping an eye on things" he explained. As I glanced at the multitude of screens, I couldn't help but notice that several of them were focused on the radio demon.

With a playful grin, I teased, "Stalking Alastor again, are we?", tilting my head slightly to peer at Vox's reaction. "Must be thrilling, watching him prance around like he owns the place". Vox's expression darkened slightly at the mention of Alastor, his grip on me tightening imperceptibly. "Just making sure he doesn't cause any trouble", he muttered, his tone tinged with irritation. "The last thing we need is him stirring up chaos". I nodded in agreement, feeling Vox's tension radiating through his body. "You're right", I replied, trying to lighten the mood. "But you know what they say, keep your friends close and your enemies closer". Vox huffed a soft laugh, the tension easing from his frame as he leaned back in the chair. "I suppose you have a point", he conceded, his gaze flickering between the screens and me. "Just as long as that freak doesn't get too close for comfort". I smiled reassuringly, nestling closer to Vox's chest. "Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere near that demon", I assured him, my voice soft and soothing. "You've got me right here". Vox's expression softened at my words, and he pressed a gentle kiss to my forehead. "That's all I need", he murmured, his voice filled with warmth and affection.

As Vox's eyes flitted between the monitors displaying the hotel's exterior, a hint of curiosity crept into his voice. "Weren't you staying at that tacky hotel?", he inquired, his tone laced with gentle curiosity. "They didn't mind you staying here for a bit?". A pang of guilt tugged at my conscience as I realized I hadn't informed Charlie of my whereabouts. "Yeah, I was staying there", I admitted sheepishly, feeling a flush of embarrassment color my cheeks. "I completely forgot about that...". Vox's brow furrowed slightly in concern as he turned his attention fully to me. "You haven't told Charlie, have you?", he asked, his tone filled with genuine concern.  I shook my head, feeling a sense of unease settle in the pit of my stomach. "No, I haven't" ,I confessed, my voice tinged with guilt. "I'll let her know as soon as I can. I didn't mean to worry anyone". Vox's expression softened, his gaze filled with understanding as he reached out to gently squeeze my hand. "It's alright," he reassured me, his voice warm and comforting. "We'll figure it out. Just try to let her know soon, okay?" . I nodded, grateful for his understanding. "I will," I promised, determined to rectify the situation as soon as possible. "Thanks, Vox". A wry grin tugged at Vox's lips as he gave a chuckle. "The last thing I need is Lucifer's daughter knocking at my door, thinking I've kidnapped you", he joked, though there was a hint of underlying seriousness in his tone. I couldn't help but laugh at the mental image his words conjured. "That would certainly be an interesting situation to explain", I replied, amusement dancing in my eyes. "But don't worry, I'll make sure to let her know I came here on my own intent, not kidnapping over here".
