Angel attempted to lighten the heavy atmosphere with a small, wistful smile. "So, how's Vox?" he inquired, his tone hopeful. I couldn't help but brighten at the mention of his name. "Actually, it's going really great" I replied, a genuine smile spreading across my face. "For one of the most powerful overlords. He's surprisingly really sweet". His eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Is he now?" he mused, his expression turning thoughtful. "Well, that's good to hear. Val's been ranting about it lately, though". My smile faltered at the mention of Valentino's name, a sense of unease creeping over me. "What did he say?" I asked cautiously, bracing myself for Angel's response. He shrugged nonchalantly. "Oh, you know, the usual" he replied casually, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Complaining about how Vox is getting in the way of him getting your soul. He's not too happy about it, to say the least". I let out a nervous laugh, trying to brush off the tension that lingered in the air. "Well, I'm sure he'll get over it eventually" I remarked, though uncertainty gnawed at the edges of my mind. He chuckled softly, a playful twinkle in his eye. "Yeah, maybe" he replied with a grin. "But knowing V, he's probably plotting something as we speak". I rolled my eyes at his teasing, unable to suppress a small smile at his attempt to lighten the mood. "Well, let him plot" I quipped back, trying to inject some levity into the conversation, "I've got Vox on my side".

Angel's mischievous grin widened as he leaned in, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "So, spill the beans. How's the sex with Vox?". I couldn't help but let out a startled laugh, swatting at him playfully. "Hey, none of your business!" I exclaimed, trying to sound stern but failing miserably as laughter bubbled up within me. He chuckled in response, dodging my playful shove with ease. "Oh, come on" he teased, a twinkle of mischief dancing in his eyes. "I'm just curious. You can't blame a guy for wanting to know". I rolled my eyes, unable to suppress a grin at his relentless teasing. "Well, you're just going to have to keep wondering" I replied with a smirk, crossing my arms over my chest in mock defiance.

As Angel persisted with his prying questions, I couldn't help but chuckle at his persistence. "Alright, alright, I'll spill" I relented with a grin, knowing I was about to regret it. "The sex is amazing, okay? Vox definitely knows how to work his magic". His eyes widened with excitement, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. "Oh, spill the juicy details" he urged eagerly, leaning in closer as if to catch every word. I couldn't help but laugh at his enthusiasm, deciding to indulge his curiosity, albeit cautiously. "Well, let's just say, being with a demon with a TV screen for a head has its perks" I teased, a playful twinkle in my eye. "And no, he doesn't glitch in the middle of it, if that's what you're wondering, that happens at the end". Angel burst into laughter at my response, clearly amused by my playful jab. "I can't believe I'm having this conversation" he exclaimed between laughs, shaking his head in disbelief. I grinned at his reaction, enjoying the banter despite the blush creeping up my cheeks. "Hey, you asked for it" I replied with a playful wink, feeling a sense of camaraderie as we shared this lighthearted moment. He nodded in agreement, his laughter subsiding into a warm smile. "Yeah, I guess I did" he admitted with a chuckle, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "But seriously, I'm happy for ya. You deserve someone who makes you feel special". I felt a surge of gratitude at his words, touched by his genuine concern and support. "Thanks, Angel" I replied sincerely, feeling a sense of warmth wash over me. "And hey, if you ever need any advice on sleeping with a TV-headed demon, you know where to find me". And as we continued to banter and laugh, the weight of our earlier conversation lifted.

As Angel's curiosity lingered, he probed further, his tone laced with anticipation. "So, what are you and Vox?" he asked, his eyes searching mine for answers. "Are you guys dating, or fucking?" I paused, considering his question carefully before responding. "Honestly, I'm not too sure" I confessed, feeling a wave of uncertainty wash over me. "I mean, Vox told me he loves me, but..." Angel's reaction was immediate, his eyes widening in disbelief. "Holy shit, he said that?" he exclaimed, his voice filled with astonishment. I nodded slowly, confirming his incredulity. "Yeah, he did" I replied, my cheeks warming at the memory of Vox's confession. "It caught me off guard, to say the least". He let out a low whistle, clearly impressed by Vox's bold declaration. "Well, damn" he muttered, shaking his head in amazement. "I guess things just got serious". I chuckled at his reaction, grateful for his lighthearted response in the midst of my uncertainty. "Yeah, I guess they did" I agreed with a smile, feeling a sense of excitement and trepidation for what the future might hold.

"I still need to talk to Vox and figure out where we stand" I admitted to Angel, a sense of determination creeping into my voice. "Once I know for sure, I'll let you know". Angel nodded understandingly, his expression reflecting his support. "Yeah, that sounds like a good plan" he agreed, his tone encouraging. "Just let me know if you need any advice or anything".  I smiled gratefully at his offer, appreciating his willingness to lend an ear. "Thanks" I replied sincerely, feeling reassured by his presence. As the conversation shifted, I couldn't help but bring up the incident with Husk. "By the way, Husk gave me a bollocking about you" I confessed, hoping to lighten the mood with a touch of humor. His cheeks flushed pink in embarrassment, a sheepish grin spreading across his face. "Oh, really?" he mumbled, clearly caught off guard by the topic. "What did he say?". I chuckled at his reaction, enjoying the chance to tease him gently. "Just that you've been MIA for days and you look like you've been through the wringer" I replied with a smile, trying to keep the tone light. Angel let out a laugh, his cheeks flushing slightly. "Well, someone's looking out for me, I guess" he quipped, his tone tinged with amusement. I nodded in agreement, a smile playing at the corners of my lips. "Looks like it" I remarked, grateful for Husk's concern despite the teasing. "Guess you've got a not so secret admirer".

Angel burst into laughter at my comment about having a secret admirer, his amusement infectious. "No way, Whiskers, definitely ain't an admirer of mine" he joked, nodding towards door, where we could hear husk's voice, presumably talking to Charlie or Alastor. I chuckled at the nickname, shaking my head in mock exasperation. "Oh, come on, Husk totally has a soft spot for you" I teased, joining in on the banter. "You just have to charm him a bit".
He raised an eyebrow skeptically, his laughter subsiding as he regarded Husk warily. "I'm not so sure about that, he doesn't seem to be a fan of my charm" he replied with a grin. "I think he'd sooner throw me out on the street than admit he likes me". I couldn't help but laugh at his assessment, knowing full well the dynamic between Angel and Husk. "Well, you never know" I replied with a playful shrug. "Stranger things have happened". And as we continued to share jokes and banter, the tension of our earlier conversation dissipated, replaced by a sense of camaraderie and warmth. No matter the challenges we faced, I knew that with Angel by my side, we could always find humor in even the most difficult situations.

Angel's expression turned serious as he made his request. "Hey, do you mind staying with me tonight?" he asked, his voice tinged with vulnerability. "I'd rather not be alone". I smiled reassuringly, touched by his honesty. "Of course" I replied without hesitation. "I'll stay with you. Just promise me you won't snore too loud". He let out a laugh, rolling his eyes playfully. "Hey, I can't make any promises, toots" he joked, his grin returning. "But I'll do my best to keep it down". I chuckled at his response, grateful for his lightheartedness in the face of uncertainty. "Fair enough" I replied with a grin. "As long as you don't keep me up all night with your chainsaw impersonation, we should be good". As we settled properly into bed, Fat Nuggets wiggled his way between us, finding a cozy spot nestled against Angel's side. With a contented sigh, I closed my eyes, feeling a sense of peace wash over me as I drifted off to sleep. The gentle rhythm of Angel's breathing and the soft snuffles of Fat Nuggets filled the room, creating a comforting symphony that lulled me into a deep slumber.
