As the day of signing the contract with Vox approaches, a mix of anticipation and nervousness fills me. Despite the weightiness of the decision, I can't help but feel a glimmer of excitement at the prospect of finally securing my soul's protection. Valentino's relatively good mood in recent days has eased some of the tension at work, but it also serves as a stark reminder of the delicate balance I must maintain. I tread carefully, not wanting to arouse any suspicion or give Valentino a reason to suspect my intentions. Today, however, marks a turning point. The day I will officially sign the contract with Vox, ensuring my soul's safety for eternity. The thought fills me with a sense of relief and empowerment, knowing that I am taking control of my own destiny. As I make my way to meet Vox, a surge of excitement courses through me. I can't wait to finalize the agreement and put an end to the constant fear and uncertainty that has plagued me since my altercation with Valentino. With each step closer to our meeting, my anticipation grows. I'm ready to embark on this new chapter, knowing that with Vox by my side, I'll be protected from whatever challenges may come my way.

"Hey there," Vox's voice carries a gentle warmth as he swings open the door, revealing the cozy interior of his home. The familiar scent of his cologne mingles with the comforting aroma of home-cooked meals, instantly putting me at ease. With a warm smile, he steps forward, his arms outstretched in welcome. "Come on in, love. It's good to see you". I step inside, feeling the cool breeze of the evening wash over me as Vox envelops me in a tight embrace. His embrace is both reassuring and comforting, a silent promise that no matter what challenges lie ahead, we'll face them together. I return the hug, savoring the warmth of his presence and the safety of his arms. As he releases me from the embrace, Vox's gaze softens, his eyes sparkling with affection. "You look beautiful as always" he murmurs, his words laced with genuine admiration. "I've missed you". I smile at his compliment, feeling a rush of warmth spread through me at his words. "I've missed you too".  I reply, returning his gaze with equal fondness. Despite the hectic pace of our lives, moments like these remind me of the deep connection we share, a bond that only grows stronger with time. He takes my hand and leads me further into the house, the soft glow of warm light casting a cozy ambiance over the space.

I say, gesturing towards the large tank in the corner of the room, "where's my favorite little man?". Vox raises an eyebrow, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "I thought that was me" he quips, a playful smirk playing on his lips. I laugh, rolling my eyes in mock exasperation. "You wish" I tease, giving him a playful nudge. "But seriously, where's Vark? I need to catch up with my favorite aquatic companion". At that moment, Vark glides into the room, his sleek form cutting effortlessly through the water. His eyes light up as he catches sight of me, and he swims over with graceful movements. "There he is, I exclaim, bending down to greet him. "My favorite little shark". He chuckles, joining me by the tank. "Hardly little" he remarks, his gaze lingering on the impressive creature before us. "But definitely one of a kind". I glance up at Vox, a smile tugging at the corners of my lips. "Just like his owner" I reply, a note of affection in my voice. "Unique and irreplaceable".

"Would you like a coffee?" Vox asks, gesturing towards the kitchen with a graceful sweep of his hand. "Sure, that sounds great," I reply, grateful for the offer. As Vox disappears into the kitchen, I take a seat on the plush sofa in his living room, sinking into its comfort. The room is adorned with elegant furnishings, reflecting Vox's impeccable taste. He returns moments later, carrying two steaming mugs of coffee. He hands one to me and settles onto the sofa beside me, close enough that our arms brush lightly. "Here you go," he says, offering me a warm smile as he takes a sip of his own coffee. "I hope it's to your liking". I take a sip of the coffee, relishing its rich flavor. "It's perfect, thank you" I say, returning his smile. We sit in comfortable silence for a moment, enjoying the warmth of the coffee and each other's company. Finally, he breaks the silence."So, about the contract" he says, his tone turning serious. "Are you ready to go through with it?".
