Misty
I called Jared and arranged a date and time for the new movie we had discussed. Luckily, he was free and didn't have to work. I met him in the movie theater lobby to buy our tickets and grabbed the popcorn and pop.
"Not that I mind watching a movie with you, but why didn't you ask Tino?" Jared asked, paying for his popcorn and pop.
"Because I wanted to actually watch a movie. With Tino, he would want to talk." I handed the girl the money for my popcorn, pop, and candy.
"I doubt he would want to talk."
"You don't know Tino."
We carried our refreshments to a seat, sat down, and got comfy.
"Everyone knows Tino has a soft spot for you." Jared tossed a kernel into his mouth.
"Why are we discussing Tino? I thought we came to watch a movie?" I sipped my pop.
"Because I don't want Tino and his cousins to jump me."
"They won't jump you." I rolled my eyes.
"Did you mention to them that we're movie pals?"
"It's none of their business what we are." I shrugged before eating some popcorn.
The lights dimmed until the theater became dark as the movie started. I watched the previews while something flew over my head and landed on my popcorn. I picked up the item and squinted to find it was a cookie. I turned halfway in my seat to find Tino and his dipshit cousins sitting five rows back from us. "What are you doing?"
"Come to the dark side. We got cookies." Tino smirked while his idiot cousins snickered.
I threw the cookie back at them, rolled my eyes, and turned to face the movie. Did I mention that Tino and his idiot cousins tend to crash my movie dates with Jared? Yeah, they discovered Jared and I would go to the movies and made it their lifelong mission to annoy me.
Jared leaned into me. "I told you."
"Will you shut up and watch the movie?"
Jared shrugged and turned his attention to the movie.

Did Misty really think she would sneak off to the movies with someone other than me? Yeah, no. The first time I discovered her and Jared and their movie deal, I made a point to join them. After that, I found out when and what movie they were seeing.
I took a cookie and tossed it at Misty. She would shoot me a glare. I threw another one at her.
"Quit it," Misty hissed.
"I told you to come to the dark side." I shrugged.
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"No."
"Yes." Misty cursed under her breath when she realized what she said.
I stood up, moved past my cousins, and sat beside Misty.
"Do you mind?"
"Not at all. Hand over the popcorn."
"Get your own."
