A little while later Kara and Lena sat on the sofa talking about what they should make for dinner when Kara's phone pinged alerting her to a text. "It's Alex." Kara stated.
A- "well I kissed Sam!"
K- "WHAT!!!!"
A- "yea...we talked after Ruby went to sleep and well...we decided to try this"
K- "try what? Dating?"
A- "yes! We're gonna take things slow obviously but I wanted you to be the first to know! Anyway I'm sure Lena knows now so I'll let you go."
K- "ok! Are you still coming over for dinner tomorrow night?"
A- "may have to cancel...Sam and I are going on a date..."
K- "good luck sis! And I want details!"
A- "ok Kar...night."
K- "night."
"They're going on a date tomorrow night!" Lena and Kara said together. "I knew this would work out! Now..what do we want for dinner?" Kara asked. "I was thinking pasta...maybe chicken Alfredo?" Lena suggested. "Sounds good to me!" Kara replied with a smile. "Ok darling, I'll get started on it in a little bit." Lena replied wrapping her arm around Kara. "What's on your mind?" Kara asked looking at the raven haired woman. "Just thinking how long it'll be till they wind up getting engaged." Lena replied teasingly.
"Oh Rao! I don't even want to think about that...that'll mean I'll have to go shopping with Alex for a suit....and she's a real pain in the butt to go shopping with!" Kara whined. "Oh..but you'll get your revenge when decide to get engaged...one say in the distant future." Lena replied with a small smile tugging on her lips. "Are you hinting at something Lee?" Kara asked. "Maybe...you'll never know until I want you to know..." Lena replied before she got up and headed to the kitchen to begin making dinner.
