A month has passed since Liam's been born and Kara and Lena have fell into a great routine together. Eliza's left for home a few days ago, stating she had to get back to work. "Well it's just us now Lee." Kara said one morning as she made breakfast. "Yes it is. Just the three of us." Lena said as she nursed Liam. Kara flipped the pancakes once more before piling them up on the platter along with sausages and bacon. A bowl of mixed fruits sat on the table already.
A few minutes later Liam was put in his swing so Lena could eat with Kara. "He's asleep again." Lena said as she took a seat opposite Kara. "He definitely takes after me on that aspect. My mother used to tell me that I'd eat and then sleep as a baby too." Kara replied. "He's also got your appetite too. I swear these past few days he's been eating more and more every day." Lena said as she piled some pancakes on her plate. "Sorry..." Kara replied softly. "It's quite alright love. It just means Liam's healthy." Lena replied.
After breakfast Liam was still asleep so Kara and Lena took showers and got dressed before returning to the living room. "Still asleep. Rao! He's just so perfect." Kara cooed. "Kinda makes me want to have another one." Lena replied. Kara looked at Lena and smirked. "Not right now! After Liam's out of diapers maybe." Lena said. "That works for me." Kara replied as she pulled Lena down next to her. "What would you like to do now?" Lena asked. "I was thinking we'd just sit here and enjoy the quiet while it lasts." Kara replied with a a smile.
Lena curls up finding herself on Kara's lap with her wife's arms around her waist. "This is nice." Lena whispered softly. "Mmmhmm" Kara replied as she kissed Lena on the lips. Just as their kiss got a little heated Liam woke up crying. "He learned that from Alex." Kara grumbled as Lena got up laughing as Kara went to pick him up. "You're a little kiss blocker...yes you are. You're just like Auntie Alex when you do that." Kara cooed as she cuddled him.
