Saturday came along and Sam came bounding into Lena and Kara's place like a lovestruck puppy dog. "Are you ready?" Sam asked dancing around in the living room. "Yes we're all set to go birthday shopping." Lena replied with a smile. "Come on ya love sick puppy dog." Kara added. "I just want to get her the right thing!" Sam whined. "We know!" Lena and Kara said together as they ushered her out the door.
The ride to downtown was short but with three woman in the car, one really chatty one who kept spewing off ideas for her girlfriend's birthday. "They're all fine. Just know Alex doesn't like big parties. So plan something small, like maybe dinner at a quiet restaurant or something." Kara suggested. "Ok. Now what for a gift? She literally has everything!" Sam groaned. "What about a new leather jacket? She just got a new bike so you could get her a new jacket to go with it." Lena suggested. "Yea...I could..." Sam replied.
"Oh look! Stores!" Kara grumbled as they pulled up to a store. The trio walked into the store together and began looking around. Kara and Lena went one way, while Sam walked off in the opposite direction. "Have you gotten your sister something?" Lena asked. "Yes, I got her and Sam a weekend away at a spa. So Eliza's taking Ruby that weekend." Kara replied. "Oh, is it close to Midvale?" Lena asked. "No, Eliza's coming here and gonna stay at Sam's place with Ruby." Kara explained. "Oh..so what are we gonna do?" Lena asked.
"I thought we could go out of town too. I may or may not have gotten us reservations at a spa too. But it's here in National City." Kara stated. "So? Eliza's having Ruby for the whole weekend. Which means we don't have to babysit, and you got us reservations at spa? Kara Danvers I love you!" Lena replied with a smile. "I love you too darling. Now...what are you getting Alex?" Kara asked. "I am thinking I would get her some scotch." Lena replied as Sam came running up to them holding a red leather jacket.
"Isn't perfect?" Sam asked. "Yea Sam! She'll love it." Kara replied with a smile. Kara and Lena stood aside while Sam cashed out. "Ready?" Lena asked Sam. "Yep! I gotta get home now and wrap this up." Sam stated. "What did Ruby get her?" Kara asked. "She got her some leather gloves and a little tool kit that would fit in a compartment on Alex's bike. She saved her allowance for it." Sam stated. "Well I'm sure Alex will love it." Kara replied as they arrived back at their penthouse.
