The ride to the DEO was a short one that evening. Kara and Lena headed directly to the special room where Kara would spend time alone talking to the hologram of her mother Alura Zor-El. "Hello Kara Zor-El and Lena Luthor! How may I help you today daughter?" Alura asked. "If Lena and I have children together will she develop powers like myself?" Kara asked. The hologram of Alura looked at Kara then at Lena before speaking. "Yes. She will. Once she becomes pregnant her appetite will increase considerably, then as the pregnancy continues she'll develop all her powers in two weeks time. Your child will be a full kryptonian at the time of birth." Alura states. Lena is wide eyed at this news. "Lee...we can always adopt..." Kara whispers. Lena doesn't respond instead she turns on a heal and walks out of the room.
Kara quickly follows her out the door and into the car. "Lena! What's wrong?" Kara asked as they returned to the penthouse. "I don't know if I can do this!" Lena exclaimed. "Do what?" Kara asked. "THIS! YOU ME! BABIES! POWERS! I CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE!" Lena screams as she falls to her knees holding her head in her hands. Kara rushes to her side and holds her. "It's ok...I understand if you want to end things now...I know it's a lot to take in..." Kara whispers as she clings to Lena. Lena's head snapped up to look at the blonde. Tears streaming down her face as she looks at how heartbroken Kara looks. "You'd really just let me walk away even though it's literally breaking your heart right now?" Lena whispers. "Lee I love you more than anything in this world. If you decided today that I'm too much to be with then I'd let you go...I won't ever move on but I'd let you go all the same." Kara stated.
Lena shook her head and wiped the tears away before kissing Kara. "I could never leave Kara! I love you too damn much to do that! It's just...that I got scared about the fact that I'll have powers one day...I'm sorry I made you think that I wanted to end things with you." Lena began sobbing again. Kara pulled her into her lap and began rocking her in her arms. "I understand love, and when your powers come in, I'll be by your side to help you with them...I promise." Kara whispered.
