Our trial on Vilo went cold, while the tip from Vross gave us a place to look, we didn't find any other clues to where she could be. We ended up back at my home, and brainstorming ways to track her down. I haven't heard from Vex nor Vross, and the underground team has remained silent. At my home, it was William, Vee, and I. William started to write on a whiteboard, writing the names of the remaining Vulcans.
"We know that we can find Vilo somewhere here, Vick is more than likely somewhere underground waiting for you to show your face, we have Vross and Vick on our side... so that's a start."
"What about Val and Vulcan?"
"Val is like Vulcans right hand, Vulcan probably has him as protection."
William looked to Vee, who was munching on a sandwich he had made for himself.
"Dove, you do know what that axe is for correct?"
"Not particularly..."
"Why don't you ask Vex? You found it where she was."
"She's not exactly here, and the sight of a second vulcan entering my home wouldn't be a good one."
William laughed, but there was a knock at the door. I walked to open it, hiding my handgun in my pocket as I pulled it open. It was Vex, and Vross.
"I hope I'm not intruding."
"You're right on time..."
I let them inside, Vross grinning at me. Vex quickly walked to Vee, petting his head she spoke with him. Vross looked at our board, and we gathered everyone. William was visible to them, and I didn't know if they would freak out because of it.
"To what do we owe the pleasure, Vex?"
"We didn't exactly have anywhere to go, now that we realized?"
"Realized what?"
"Dove, after you cured us, we came to realize that Vulcan has lied to us our whole lives."
"Vulcan told us that he was a force for good and change, but he transferred those infections onto us like we were test subjects."
"That axe you found at my house, I stole it from Vulcan. It was the tool he used to infect us, to pass down the viruses he had into us. Whatever that black goo is, don't trust it."
I nodded, thinking about the axe I looked to Vee.
"So in reality, I didn't cure you... I just took that virus and it transferred into the axe. That explains these new feelings I've been having, which begs the question."
I turned to everyone.
"We could use the 7 sins to defeat Vulcan, like bottling emotions and letting them all out at once!"
I had everyone nodding.
"That's a great idea dove... but there's only one problem."
"And that is?"
"Being the carrier of all 7 Deadly sins, would more than likely kill you."
I thought... has that stopped me before?
"I think you've lost sight of who I am."
"Have you not done the same?"
Ack, a snappy comeback by William like usual.
"I don't care, it's our best bet. If I'm doing this, I need to work fast. Vex, Vross, can you help me?"
They both kneeled.
