TW: Sexual situation
It has been a week since I've seen Brandon, or Vee, or Hawkins, or even Akira.
The EPD wasn't finished with me, they had me work other jobs to pay off my minor misdemeanors, we shut down multiple hideouts where Promise loyalists attempted to cause more riots in the streets, we worked with the small fire department to finally put out the fires that had been raging for about a month. I helped clean rubble, save people from collapsed buildings, there were no casualties... Promise really didn't kill anyone, but in that moment... she almost killed me, am I just- weak? With a heavy sigh, I walked through the Shibuya district, still as lively as it was the night I arrived here. Promise was absent from the bright neon ads, replaced with... me. I was the talk of the town, how surprising. I flipped my hood over my head, walking through the streets. Suddenly, the sidewalk was empty. I looked around, as someone walked out from the alley.
"You're a long ways from home partner."
Turning to my right, Kennedy blocked the way, his hands on his belt.
"What do you want?"
"I heard about tha' fight' with Promise, wha' happened to her?"
"That's not of your concern, Brandon told you to never show your face around us ever again."
"Is she dead?"
"We told you-"
"IS... She dead?"
I paused, tempted to knock him out, but I spoke normally.
"No. I don't know, she's contained."
Kennedy sighed, stepping to the side.
"Don't go right, there's an ambush. Go left and swing right."
I walked past him, looking behind me he was already gone. In a crossroad, I went left. I didn't have a problem getting to our new home base. It was a spacious apartment near the center of Erun, most of its lights on as I rang the doorbell. I was exhausted, dirty, and wanting to see my family again. It was Hawkins who answered the door, greeting me with a large hug as I entered into a main living room. Brandon, Vee, Mitsoro, and Leah all stood around. Everyone gathered around me, saying hello and exchanging hugs. Everyone seemed to have recovered from any and all injuries, I smiled seeing everyone.
"This calls for a celebration!"
Hawkins walked out, likely to grab something from the near kitchen. I asked where everyone else was, Marlyn, Kuro, and Seven. While I don't deeply care for them, their absence would be a shame. They had apparently gone out to get their own place, with Samuel leading them. This apartment was big, but only for the select few of us. Hawkins came back, putting tiny shot glasses in our hands.
"Cmon, for Dove! For Erun!"
We all clinked our glasses, chugging the drink. It was honestly awful, I could see Brandon slightly repulse over the taste. He laughed it off, Hawkins began to pour another round for us. Leah quickly retreated to the couch, as I braced for a rather interesting night
After about 3 hours, I was slouched on the couch barely awake. Vee was to my right, looking the same as me. I looked to my left, Brandon was looking at me. His face was red, as he inched closer to me. He was now right next to me.
"Me and hic- Kibo to watch movies on a couch like this, with Delilah always sitting away from us. You remind me a lot of her, you know that?"
He inched forward, now right in front of me.
"Ever since I lost Kibo...hic... you're the only one who's been there for me..."
"Huh?"
I was laying across the couch now, Brandon over me with his knee now lodged in between my thighs. I was red now too, not just from the drinks. Brandon put his hands next to my head, leaning down to kiss me.
"H-hey! What are you doing?!"
Vee was awake, Brandon now laying on top of me as his arms gave out. Vee crawled across the couch over to us, blushing.
"I've known...d-dove the longest!"
"N-nuh uh! Hic... I met her first."
I blinked, and now found Brandon and Vee making out in front of me.
"What the fuck..."
I blinked again, was I just tired or did Hawkins put something in these drinks? I now found myself laying down, with Brandon on top of me. His knees on either side of me, his hands on my shoulders as he panted. I don't even know how we got into this position, as my hands reached for his waist. It was surprisingly small, he kept his sounds quiet as I felt Vee's hands wander down my side and onto my exposed thigh. I looked at Brandon, looking at him like this... there was something different about him. Not because he was moaning like a girl, but because even under the influence he still thought about climbing onto me like this. I blinked, and awoke again to find myself sandwiched between a sleeping Brandon and Vee. Our moment together was short, but maybe because I wasn't completely there. As I faded into another rest, I could faintly see Hawkins in the corner of my eye.
Waking up the next morning, Brandon and Vee were gone. I looked around, fixing myself up I walked out a sliding door into an open backyard where Brandon was working.
"Dove! I'm glad you're here, I want to show you what I've been working on."
Hanging from a chain, the same backpack that Lilly showed me was hanging with lots of tools scattered around. It was not equipped with two long jet engines that seemed to freely move about 180 degrees, Brandon pressed a button as long metal wings outstretched from the backpack. He continued to press buttons, it was equipped with missile launchers, targeting systems, automated rifles, and probably more.
"It's powered by a miniature fusion reactor... Delilah designed it. You have enough missile racks for four salvos, ammunition for approximately 3 hours, and all the tools at your disposal. I just need one last thing, I wanted to look at that teleportation device you had when you were saving Vee."
I reached into my pocket dimension, finding that same device I tossed it at Brandon. He caught it, almost immediately breaking it apart.
"Well now I'll be busy, I think I saw Vee and Leah upstairs. Thanks Dove."
I nodded, walking back inside. It was cold in the apartment, going upstairs I thought about last night... whatever happened. Walking upstairs, I found Leah and Vee. Leah immediately put her index over her lips, showing that Vee had his head across her lap. She whispered to me, smiling.
"He never does this... what did you do?"
I shrugged, sitting down as Vee gently purred. It's been a while since I've seen him like this, I think it's because he hasn't been fighting as much lately. I smiled at the sight of him, his ears twitching. His hair has started to grow out, maybe too much for his small head. Leah's skin was very pale, almost a pure white. She giggled, putting her green hair behind her ear. I stood, walking back down the stairs where I found Hawkins on the couch. I opted to join him, trying to cuddle up next to him. He seemed to refuse, giving a big sigh. He checked the time, and got up.
"I'm meeting with Kuro and Seven, I'll be back later."
I nodded, it didn't take him very long to leave... what was his problem? I got up, and looked around the kitchen. I had realized something, Brandon only had one drink...as did Vee. I had noticed Brandon's repulsive face after a single sip, and I never saw Vee take another glass, and now that I really think back did I ever get a second drink? I looked, and found a blank vial in the trash. Hawkins had spiked the drinks with a much higher alcohol content, why? I asked myself, but I couldn't reach a conclusion.
However, I thought I saw Hawkins that night... I didn't see Leah, did he only spike Brandon, Vee, and me? I was troubled by the thought, and troubled by what else he could be doing behind my back. I sighed with a bit of despair, opting to go work on my binder rather than dwell in that area.
"Dove, I need you out here."
