Something kept me up that night, and the horror of it shook me all day. I had another dream, and like every other than came before it, it displayed something that I can't explain to those around me. I started in the middle of the stadium directly under the moon, Promise nowhere to be seen, and the lights all completely off. The only light in middle earth was the moonlight shining down on me. I looks around, but to no avail. As I spun, I heard a voice behind me. It sounded like a child's giggle. I turned around to see a young girl run past me, and when I turned again to see where she went, the stadium was gone. Surrounding me now was a village, wooden houses with the sun still shining. The girl ran to a family, and I noticed that this small girl had a burn mark on her left eye. She giggled, and now ran to an another group of kids. I stood still, as they circled around me and now bolted behind me. I smiled and laughed, but then I turned back around. Directly in front of me was that same girl, only older. Her chin down, her eyes glared at me with blood surrounding her. The village was now burning, and the sun was setting on the scorched homes. Everyone was dead, and the hand that lit the buildings ablaze?
Vulcan.
And the tool of destruction?
The axe I've been using this whole time.
I gasped, I saw the girls body on the floor. Vulcan laughing as he continued to rampage with the axe. I noticed that the axe in this time didn't have the black gunk, and it was in better condition than it is now. The girl vanished, and I looked around desperately. The flames subsided, Vulcan left, and the blood dried without me being able to speak a word.
I woke up sweating, gasping for air, and crying. I had forgot I had Vee in the bed with me. He yelled out scared for his life, as he fell to the floor with a thump. He took the sheets with him, still in the nude he covered himself in embarrassment. I panted, looking down at Vee... and now to William standing in the doorframe.
"You done?"
"When will you care about me?"
"I care about you, why am I here in the first place?"
"Beats me, better than nothing."
"I am nothing Dan, however I could be everything."
"Shut up."
I got out of bed, wiping my forehead I showed Vee to his clothes and let him be, walking downstairs in a drowse. I felt dirty, but the water down here isn't as pretty as the walls and furniture. I sat down on the couch, checking the time it was only 9 in the morning. I sighed, Vee now walking down and sitting next to me. I looked into Vee's eyes, and they were purple. I raised an eyebrow, and turned my head to him.
"What's 200 minus 156?"
His answer was almost immediate.
"44."
"Your eyes are purple? What does that mean?"
"My eyes? I've heard they change a lot, I think before you used that axe they were always blue and I was always tired as hell for some reason. I'd also like to... apologize for last night, as enjoyable as it was, I wasn't in the right mind."
Vee now bowed to me.
"I will be of service, Dove."
"Why is everyone bowing to me- Vee you're fine you don't need to do that."
"Sorry, it's the way my mother taught me."
"Your mom? You remember your mom?"
"Of course, how could you forget your own mother? What was your mom like Dove?"
