I've heard stories of Vilo, how she stalks the night with a purple grip. While the streets of the third district are unknown to me, I've seen black smoke emerge from the office towers. I've heard it's a corporate slave haven, and many of its skyscrapers are a harbor above the clouds. We've got a lead that Vilo will be overlooking a mass riot by Promises forces tonight, leaving me and Hawkins to prepare. He insisted that he should come along, especially after what happened yesterday. When I woke up, he was already downstairs making coffee.
"I don't have a coffee machine..."
"You do, just have to look!"
"I did look... whatever, you sure you want to come along tonight? It won't be pretty."
"I'll be fine, I can defend far more than just myself."
He smirked, sliding me a white mug. I heard Nemesis talk, and looking to my right I saw her and William standing together.
"Why does the human drink that liquid?"
"Think of it like a boost of energy."
"Useless, just don't be tired."
"Not as easy as you think Nemi."
"Nemi? What are you two just best buds now?"
"We're both inside your head Dan, we already know everything about each other through you."
"I prefer a friend over an opponent... even if I exploit both."
William chopped the top of Nemi's head, she flinched down and rubbed the spot.
"No exploiting."
"You don't own me!"
"No, Dan does. Her mind, her rules."
Hawkins looked confused, as for him there was nobody there.
"You okay Dove?"
"Mhm! I'm just uh... talking to William."
"Right..."
He walked away and sat on the couch with his coffee, yawning and stretching.
"You're making me look crazy! Why must you both be invisible?!"
"I have no way to manifest myself outside of your brain until you bring me more power."
"It's hard to be sneaky when you have blue hair."
I grunted, standing up they both faded away in different ways. While William vanished into a golden dust, Emi split into two parts, and then dissolved into black goo before disappearing completely. I sat next to Hawkins, who gave me a small smile. Vee later joined us, opting to chug some water and sit close to me. We all slowly started to wake up, just as Derek and Carol finally came on.
"WEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAREGGHGG- REAAAAAGGGGHH-"
"DEREK!"
"Welcome to your morning news Erun! We're back to tell you how miserable life is today! But first, we need to make something clear."
They suddenly dipped underneath their desk, and now popped back up looking completely different.
"We've been lying to you all!"
Derek had red skin, black hair with a red color at the top of his head. His hair was fluffy and messy, with two horns poking out from the top of his head. He went from looking in his mid 40's, to looking like he just graduated high school. On his neck was a white scar, looking like his head was attached. Of course it wasn't, but this entire situation was already strange.
