Author's POV

"Hanni, what's with that? You don't have to be so hard on our new manager," Minji chided, a hint of disappointment in her voice. Hanni just shrugged, her usually calm demeanor tainted with a touch of frustration. After all, it was unlike her to harbor instant dislike for someone.

"Manager-nim doesn't remember you," Haerin suddenly interjected, causing the others to turn and stare at her.

"See, she doesn't even remember you, so no grudges anymore, Hanni," Danielle chimed in, her words echoing the sentiments of the group. Hanni let out a sigh, relenting slightly.

"I don't know, guys, just don't mind me," Hanni muttered, her frustration palpable. Sensing her simmering irritation, the members decided it was best not to push her any further, lest they risk invoking her wrath.

"For me, Manager-nim is nice," Hyein piped up, earning a high five from Minji, who nodded in agreement.

"I wonder when she'll be moving in," Danielle blurted out of nowhere, causing Hanni to pause mid-scroll on her phone.

"What do you mean, move in?" Hanni asked, her curiosity piqued.

"I guess you weren't listening. Yesterday, Sajangnim told us, right?" Minji explained, earning a resigned sigh from Hanni.

Hanni cursed herself for not paying closer attention, realizing she had missed crucial information. Now, she found herself unable to do anything about it, stuck in a situation she hadn't fully comprehended. Such is the peril of zoning out during important conversations!

The door swung open, revealing Y/n balancing a box of pizza and a handful of drinks from the nearby coffee shop.

"Here you go, girls. This one's for Minji and Danielle," Y/n announced as she distributed the cold, tropical-flavored drinks. She then turned to Hyein with a grin. "Here's your drink, kid," she said, passing it over. Finally, she approached Haerin, offering her drink with a smile.

"And this is yours," Y/n said, receiving a whispered thanks from Haerin. She hesitated before passing the last drink to Hanni, fearful of inviting her infamous glare. Before she could dwell on it, Danielle intervened.

"Give it to me, Manager-nim. I'll hand it to Hanni," Danielle offered with a smile, earning a relieved nod from Y/n.

They settled down to eat, and just as Y/n was about to retreat to the sofa, Haerin called her over.

"Manager-nim, eat with us," Haerin insisted, with the others nodding in agreement. At first, Y/n attempted to decline, but the girls were persistent, and she found herself seated on the floor between Haerin and Danielle, with Hanni across from her.

"So, you're twenty years old?" Minji asked, prompting a nod from Y/n. "You guys can just call me Y/n," she offered with a friendly smile.

As they dug into their meal, Y/n felt a sense of relief, especially with Danielle sitting beside her. Despite Haerin's quiet demeanor, she managed to contribute to the conversation.

"Hyein is the youngest, next is Haerin. They're the maknaes, while Dani, Hanni, and I are close in age," Minji explained, providing Y/n with a glimpse into their dynamic. Y/n nodded along, realizing she was just one year older than Minji and Hanni, two years older than Danielle, three years older than Haerin, and a whopping four years older than Hyein.

Glancing at Hyein, Y/n couldn't help but feel a bit ancient.

"When are you moving in, Y/n?" asked Minji, her curiosity piqued. The question caught Hanni's attention, and she shot Y/n an intense gaze, causing Y/n to stammer over her words.

"Well, I just got a message from Sajangnim. He said I need to move in later because one of you has a schedule tomorrow, so I need to accompany that member," Y/n explained, feeling the weight of Hanni's stare.

Danielle leaned in, her curiosity evident. "Who is that member?" she asked eagerly.

"Wait, let me check my phone," Y/n replied, fumbling with her phone nervously. She scrolled through her messages until she found the relevant one, her fingers trembling slightly. Finally, she located the schedule for tomorrow.

"It's Hanni's schedule tomorrow for Gucci," Y/n announced, reading aloud from her phone. The members nodded in understanding, while Y/n couldn't help but gulp nervously.

She's gonna roast the hell out of me Y/n thought, bracing herself for what was to come. After all, facing Hanni's wrath was no small feat!
