Y/n's POV
As I sat in the lobby, engrossed in my phone, Heeju was called away by her boss, leaving Jieun with her driver waiting outside. Glancing at the clock, I realized it was already past afternoon, indicating that we had been here since early in the morning. The thought of the girls working so diligently, even on the first day, filled me with pride.

I chuckled as I read an article titled "Newjeans Haerin is a cat," finding humor in the playful comparison. Suddenly, my vision was obscured as someone covered my eyes, their breath tickling my hair. I recognized the voice immediately.

"Guess who?" the person whispered.

With a smile, I replied, "Hmm, our beautiful maknae!"

Hyein giggled and uncovered my eyes, revealing her excited expression. "You're right!"

Returning her smile, I asked, "Are you guys done?"

Hyein nodded enthusiastically, giving me a thumbs up. Before she could finish her sentence, the rest of the members approached our table.

"Yah, Hyein! Why did you leave us?!" Minji exclaimed playfully, causing Hyein to stick out her tongue in response. I waved to the approaching group, enjoying the playful banter.

Minji then playfully tackled Hyein, and they both burst into giggles. Hanni walked beside them, engrossed in her phone, while Danielle rummaged through her bag. Haerin, ever calm, walked beside Danielle.

Her pigtails makes her cuter! I thought

"Hi, Haerin-ah!" I greeted with a smile, but her response surprised me as she gave me an exuberant grin.

"I'm hungry!" she exclaimed, making me giggle. I reached out to pat her head, but before I could, she surprised me by enveloping me in a sudden hug. Flustered by her unexpected affection, I returned her smile as she released me and walked towards the others.

"L-let's go home!" I stuttered, feeling a bit shy after Haerin's spontaneous display of affection. With nods of agreement from the group, we made our way to the car, ready to head home after a long day.

After arriving home, the members wasted no time and headed straight to the kitchen with the food we had ordered. Hunger seemed to have gotten the best of them, as they ate in silence, their focus solely on devouring their meals. I couldn't help but giggle at their serious expressions, amused by how hungry they must have been.

"Hey, Y/n. We're still going to the mall, okay? No backing out!" Hanni declared, sitting beside me with determination. I nodded, laughing at her unwavering determination.

"Yes, ma'am," I replied playfully, earning a chuckle from Hanni. With that, the members dispersed back to their rooms.

Deciding to freshen up before our outing, I changed into a white shirt and black baggy pants. As I stepped outside my room, I was surprised to find Hanni already there, dressed in a similar outfit.

Her eyes widened in excitement as she noticed our matching attire. "Wow! We look like a couple!" she exclaimed, a wide smile spreading across her face.

Blushing at her words, I stammered, "S-should I change?"

Hanni quickly shook her head, lightly slapping my arm. "No! We look cute. Now let's go," she insisted, her enthusiasm contagious.

With Hanni leading the way, we made our way downstairs. Before leaving, she made sure to grab a mask to cover her face, and with that, we set off for our mall shopping.

As Hanni settled into the passenger seat, I waited patiently for her to finish checking her things before starting the car. Throughout the drive, she was buzzing with excitement, eagerly discussing what she planned to buy and seeking my opinions.

When we arrived at the mall, I parked the car and waited for Hanni to join me. Surprisingly, the mall was relatively empty, which seemed to bring a sense of relief to Hanni. Despite wearing a mask, I could see the sparkle in her eyes as she took in the sight of the stores.

Lost in my thoughts, I didn't realize I was staring at her until Hanni reached out and grabbed my hand, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Y/n, let's go there first!" she exclaimed eagerly, pulling me along.

"Okay, okay, calm down," I chuckled, amused by her excitement. I glanced down at our intertwined hands, feeling a warmth spread through me at the contact. It was the first time I had held her hand, and I couldn't help but notice how soft it felt. Unsure of how to react, I simply let Hanni lead the way, content to be swept along in her enthusiasm.
