I giggled as I watched Hanni excitedly run around, not caring that sand was sticking to her calves. Pulling out my phone, I snapped a picture of her in her element. "Y/n, this is so fun!"
"Uh-huh, I can see that," I teased, smiling at her enthusiasm. Suddenly, she ran towards me and grabbed my arm. "Let's go watch the sunset while we're in the water,"
I nodded, smiling as I let her lead me into the water. We waded in until the water was above our waist, knowing Hanni wouldn't be comfortable if it got any deeper.
Facing the sun, we watched the beautiful scene unfold. Suddenly, Hanni moved in front of me, confusing me. Then, she grabbed my hand and wrapped it around her, initiating a back hug. "Now this is much better, don't you think?"
"You're such a flirt," I said playfully, pulling her closer. She leaned against my chest, humming contentedly. "This is so relaxing, I'm glad I'm here with you," she said, her words warming my heart. I lowered myself to rest my chin on her shoulder. "Me too, Hanni,"
"What did you and Minji do for your date?" She asked, I smiled remembering our moments, Minji's warm family and the picnic she planned. "Well, we had a nice picnic!"
"That's good. Minji is really good at planning,"
"Yeah, I really enjoyed it," I giggled causing for her to giggle. Then we talked a lot about her and my pasts, she then asked about Jieun, how we met and what really happened, to which I gladly told her everything.
"That bitch!" Hanni exclaimed, I giggled back hugging her tighter. Hanni's passionate outburst made me chuckle, but I appreciated her loyalty. "Thanks, Hanni. But honestly, it's all in the past now."
She pouted, crossing her arms. "I still want to fight her for you, though."
I gave her a playful squeeze. "Let's leave the fighting to the past, okay? I've moved on, and I'm happy right here, right now."
Hanni nodded, her expression softening. "Okay, I trust you. But if she ever messes with you again, she'll have to deal with me!"
I couldn't help but laugh at her fierce determination. "Got it, tough girl. But let's focus on making more happy memories together, okay?" With a smile, Hanni nodded.
Hanni began to share stories from her childhood.
"I used to be such a troublemaker when I was a kid," she confessed with a mischievous grin. "One time, I convinced my little sister that she could fly if she jumped off the roof with an umbrella!"
I couldn't help but laugh at the image of a young Hanni orchestrating such a scheme. "That's hilarious! What happened?"
"Well, let's just say it didn't end well," she admitted sheepishly. "But hey, at least she didn't break any bones!" We both laughed.
For the meantime time, Hanni couldn't resist teasing me about the possibility of us ending up together.
"So, Y/n, what do you think you'd do if we actually became a couple?" she asked.
I chuckled, rolling my eyes at her antics. "I don't know, probably endure endless teasing from you."
Hanni grinned mischievously. "Oh, you better believe it! But besides that, what else?"
I pretended to ponder her question for a moment before replying with a smirk, "Hmm, maybe plan elaborate pranks to get back at you."
She laughed, squeezing my arm that is wrapped around her. "Sounds like a challenge! But seriously, what would you do?"
Leaning in closer, I whispered conspiratorially, "Well, first, I'd probably want to take you on the most amazing dates ever."
Hanni's eyes lit up with excitement. "Ooh, I like the sound of that! What else?"
