Y/n and Jina exchanged amused glances before bursting into laughter, the tension momentarily lifted as they settled onto the bench. Y/n leaned in, curiosity sparking in her eyes. "How's your sister holding up?"

"She's making progress, thankfully," Jina replied with a soft smile, grateful for the concern. Y/n offered a comforting pat on her back. "That's good to hear. Every step forward counts, right?"

Jina nodded in agreement before turning her attention back to Y/n. "So, what's with the sudden meet-up?" she asked, her curiosity piqued.

Y/n let out a sigh, mentally preparing herself to recount the events of the day. From the unexpected confession from NewJeans to the bewildering dilemma she now faced. Jina listened intently, her shock evident as she processed Y/n's predicament.

"Damn, Y/n, you've managed to stir up quite the drama without even trying," Jina exclaimed, her excitement palpable as she playfully nudged Y/n's arm.

Y/n couldn't help but shake her head, feeling overwhelmed by the weight of the situation. "I honestly have no idea what to do, Jina," she confessed, uncertainty clouding her thoughts.

Jina leaned back against the bench, contemplating Y/n's words before offering her perspective. "Think about it, Y/n. They asked if you'd be open to dating one of them, which means they've already talked about it amongst themselves. Maybe this is their way of telling you they're okay with it," she suggested, her tone hopeful.

Y/n mulled over Jina's insight, realizing there might be more to the situation than she initially thought. "You have a point," she conceded, acknowledging the possibility.

"But even if Sajang-nim agrees, how am I supposed to navigate my feelings without hurting the others?" Y/n voiced her concern, uncertainty gnawing at her.

Jina nodded in understanding, her expression thoughtful as they pondered the dilemma together.

As Y/n walked home, the setting sun cast a warm glow over the neighborhood. She couldn't shake off the weight of the conversation with Jina, pondering over what to do next. The situation had become more complicated than she ever imagined.

Upon reaching home, Y/n found the atmosphere inside tense, as if the air itself held its breath. Haerin's voice broke the silence, drawing Y/n's attention.

"Y/n..."

Turning towards the living room, Y/n spotted Haerin sitting on the couch, looking visibly upset. Concerned, Y/n approached her.

"Hey, Haerin, you were waiting for me?" Y/n asked, noticing the faint pout on Haerin's lips.

Haerin nodded silently, prompting Y/n to inquire further, "What's wrong? You seem troubled."

In a rush of emotion, Haerin blurted out her plea, expressing her willingness to sacrifice everything for Y/n. Y/n's heart sank at the sincerity in Haerin's words, realizing the depth of her friend's feelings.

"Haerin, you don't have to do that," Y/n responded gently, her brow furrowing with concern. "You've worked so hard for your career."

Unable to contain her emotions, Haerin wrapped her arms around Y/n, seeking solace in her embrace. Y/n felt the weight of Haerin's tears against her chest, torn between empathy and guilt.

"I'll do anything to show you," Haerin whispered amidst her tears.

Y/n's resolve wavered at Haerin's words, but she knew she couldn't allow her friends to make such sacrifices for her sake.

"I'm sorry, Haerin, but I can't let you give up everything for me," Y/n said softly, her voice heavy with regret.

Haerin continued to cry, clinging tightly to Y/n, while Y/n struggled to find the right words to ease her friend's pain. In that moment, the room was filled with the echoes of Haerin's whimpers, a poignant reminder of the complexity of their emotions.

After a few minutes of comforting Haerin, Y/n guided her to sit on the couch beside her. Although Haerin didn't pull away, she settled down comfortably with Y/n's presence. Y/n gently brushed Haerin's hair, soothing her with each stroke. Gradually, the room grew quiet once again, and Y/n noticed that Haerin had drifted off to sleep.

Y/n couldn't help but smile at the peaceful sight, admiring Haerin's serene expression. With care, Y/n lifted Haerin into her arms and carried her upstairs to her room. She gently placed Haerin on her bed, tucking her in with a soft blanket. Before leaving the room, Y/n paused to take one last look at Haerin, her determination firming in her heart.

As she closed the door behind her, Y/n resolved to talk to her boss first thing in the morning. Determined to find a solution to the complicated situation.
