Y/n and Hanni were in the middle of something when there was a knock at the door. Hanni, feeling annoyed, hesitated to answer it.
"Hanni, maybe you should see who it is," Y/n suggested. Hanni reluctantly agreed and got up, but before opening the door, she rushed back to Y/n for one more kiss.
"Promise we'll continue this?" Hanni asked eagerly. Y/n nodded with a smile, "Promise."
With that, Hanni went to the door, fixing her hair and clothes before peeking outside to see their youngest member, Hyein, holding a pillow.
"Hey, Hyein-ah!" Hanni greeted with a smile. Hyein looked worried, saying she had a nightmare and asked if she could sleep with Hanni. Hanni glanced back at Y/n, who had also heard.
"Oh, is someone with you?" Hyein asked, but before she could peek inside, Hanni signaled Y/n to hide. Y/n quickly slipped into Hanni's bathroom.
"Boo!" Hyein barged in playfully, but found no one there.
"Where did they go?" Hyein asked, puzzled.
"Haha, nobody's here, Hyein-ah," Hanni said, relieved. Hyein sat on Hanni's bed, and Hanni closed the door, deciding to distract her for now. Hanni subtly glanced around, wondering where Y/n hid.
"Unnie, unnie!" Hyein's repeated calls jolted Hanni, bringing her attention back to the present.
"What were you saying?" Hanni asked as she settled beside Hyein on the bed, who was already snuggled up with a pillow.
"I was saying you look like you're thinking about something serious," Hyein explained with a cute expression. Hanni giggled nervously and shook her head.
"I'm just tired from the shopping that Y/n and I did," Hanni explained, memories of their time in the fitting room flashing in her mind and causing her to smile faintly. Hyein nodded understandingly but then noticed something.
"Why's there a red mark on your neck?" asked Hyein innocently, causing Hanni's eyes to widen as she immediately covered it. Hanni chuckled nervously and said, "I-uh, burnt myself with a curler."
Hanni managed to come up with an excuse on the spot, inwardly relieved that she could explain away the love bite Y/n had left on her neck.
Meanwhile, Y/n stood inside the bathroom, trying to eavesdrop on the conversation between Hanni and Hyein. Glancing at her phone, she scrolled through messages to pass the time. After a while, she pressed her ear against the door, hearing no sound from the other side. Just as she was about to open the door, it swung open, revealing Hanni.
"Hanni..." Y/n began, looking down at the girl in front of her. Hanni smiled and hugged Y/n tightly. Y/n glanced at Hanni's bed, seeing that Hyein was already asleep. Hanni had sought Y/n out, assuming they might continue their moment. But Y/n didn't hug back, feeling the weight of guilt settling in. She gently pulled Hanni away, her heart heavy with the secret she was keeping.
"I'm going to my room now," Y/n said quietly, and Hanni nodded, guiding Y/n out of her room. Hanni watched as Y/n opened her own door. Before Y/n could step inside, Hanni called out to her.
"Y/n, think about what I said," Hanni urged softly. Y/n managed a small smile and nodded in response, the weight of Hanni's words lingering in her mind.
Y/n entered her room, feeling conflicted. She knew she couldn't keep hiding the truth from Hanni about what really happened between her and Danielle, but the fear of hurting her held her back. Sitting on her bed, she stared at her phone, contemplating whether to text Hanni or not.
After a moment of hesitation, she decided to send a message.
Y/n: I'll think about it, Hanni. Promise.
Sending the text, she sighed, hoping it would reassure Hanni for the time being. But deep down, she knew she needed to confront the situation sooner rather than later.
???'s POV
Feeling a pang of disappointment, I furrowed my eyebrows as I observed Y/n and Hanni talking. Hanni's words caught my attention, and I couldn't help but wonder if Y/n had spent the night in Hanni's room or if they were discussing something else.I sighed, feeling a twinge of jealousy as I wished for Y/n's attention to be directed towards me like it was towards Hanni. It was hard not to feel envious of the bond they shared, evident even in simple moments like this.
Deciding not to intrude on their conversation, I retreated back into my own space, hoping that someday Y/n would notice and value my presence as much as they did with Hanni.
