I blinked a few times, taking in Haerin's adorable scout-like outfit. Meanwhile, I felt rather underdressed in comparison. "Y/n, are you seriously going to wear that?" she asked, struggling with a stubborn strand of hair. Her ensemble consisted of layers: a shirt, a long-sleeved top underneath, and a vest, topped off with a bucket hat, making her look even cuter.

"You look really cute right now," I teased, unable to resist.

"I've always been cute," she retorted, a playful glint in her eyes. I couldn't resist pinching her cheeks in response.

"Yes, ma'am," I chuckled, before deciding to lighten her load by taking her duffle bag. "Hey, that's my camping stuff!"

"Don't worry, I'm not stealing it! I'll carry it for you," I assured her, earning a toothy grin in return.

Her idea of camping was rather exciting, especially since I'd never had the chance to experience it before due to my sister's aversion to the outdoors.

"Did you say goodbye to your members?" I inquired, watching as she widened her eyes in realization. "Wait," she exclaimed, waddling off like a small penguin. Despite her layered outfit, I couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of her wearing cargo shorts. But there was no denying, she could rock any outfit she wore.

Haerin finally returned, her cheeks slightly flushed from the goodbyes, but her smile as radiant as ever. With a skip in her step, she approached me at the doorstep, her excitement palpable.

"All set?" I asked, grinning as I extended my arm for her to cling onto.

"Ready as I'll ever be," she replied, her hand finding its place on my arm, her grip firm and reassuring.

As we made our way to the car, I couldn't help but admire her enthusiasm. Her eyes sparkled with anticipation, and her excitement was infectious.

Once inside, I chuckled as Haerin struggled with the seatbelt, her usual grace momentarily abandoned. "Need a hand there?" I teased, reaching over to help her.

"Hush, you," she shot back with a playful pout, her cheeks tinted with a hint of embarrassment. With a determined expression, she finally managed to secure the seatbelt in place. "There, all set."

"Good job, scout," I teased, unable to resist a playful jab. Her eyes rolled in mock annoyance, but a smile tugged at the corners of her lips.

"Hey, I can handle myself just fine," she retorted with a smirk, her confidence shining through. Settling into her seat, she glanced out the window, excitement bubbling beneath the surface. "Now, let's hit the road!"

As we cruised along, I caught Haerin's gaze fixed on me through the corner of my eye, and I couldn't help but chuckle. "What's with the staring, Kang?"

Her response was swift and unexpected. "You look handsome," she declared, and I nearly choked on my own surprise. Glancing over at her, I flashed a grateful smile. "Uh, thanks."

With one hand resting casually on the armrest, I tapped along to the beat of the music, enjoying the easy rhythm. Haerin seemed lost in thought, her eyes tracing the passing scenery outside. But her sneaky little pinky, inching toward mine, didn't escape my notice, and it brought a smile to my face.

Humming along to the tune, I let my hand find hers, our fingers intertwining effortlessly. I stole a glance, catching her smiling back at me.

"Not a bad day, huh?" I remarked, still focused on the road. Haerin's gentle squeeze on my hand was all the confirmation I needed. "Definitely," she agreed, her voice tinged with the warmth of summer.

"Is there any reason why you chose camping?" I asked, curious as we continued to hold hands. Haerin hummed softly, her fingers twirling mine as she spoke. "Well, my family really loves camping. I miss doing it. Ever since I've become an idol, I haven't had the chance to go."
