Y/n's POV
After a long day, we all decided to call it a night, knowing they deserved some well-earned sleep. As they headed to their respective rooms, I went to mine first to complete my night routine. After about half an hour, I decided to check on the girls' room to see if they needed anything before I also turned in for the night.

I quietly approached Minji's door, giving it a gentle tap before peeking inside. Seeing her peacefully asleep, I couldn't help but smile. "Wow, she's out like a light," I chuckled to myself, softly closing the door to let her rest undisturbed.

Moving on to Hanni's room, I knocked and was greeted by her inviting voice. "Come in!" she called out, setting her phone down as I entered. "Hey there, Hanni! Just doing my nightly check-in. Need anything before I hit the hay?"

After a moment's thought, she shook her head with a smile. "Nah, I'm all good. Thanks, though!"

"No problemo! Sweet dreams, Hanni," I replied cheerfully, earning a sleepy smile in return as I quietly closed the door behind me.

Next up was Danielle's room, but just like Minji, she was already snoring away. "That girl must have burned through her energy reserves today," I mused, amused by her boundless enthusiasm.

Knocking on the next door, I heard the sound of footsteps approaching. The door swung open to reveal Hyein, looking cozy in her nighttime attire. "Hey, Y/n! Need something?" she greeted me with a friendly wave.

"Nah, just making sure everyone's squared away for the night," I replied, relieved to hear she was all set. With a mutual exchange of goodnights, I left her to her slumber.

Approaching the final door, I knocked twice and was met by Haerin, looking adorable in her bear-eared hoodie and pajama pants. "Hey there! Just checking in. Need anything before I call it a night?" I asked, noting the darkening sky outside.

Before I could react, a loud clap of thunder sent Haerin into my arms, seeking comfort from the storm. "Whoa, looks like someone's not a fan of Mother Nature's sound effects," I teased gently, wrapping an arm around her as she clung to me.

Haerin's expression shifted slightly as a rumble of thunder echoed in the distance. "Sorry, I hate rain," she confessed, prompting me to glance at the window where raindrops were starting to patter against the glass.

"It's okay, Haerin-ah. I've got you," I reassured her, feeling a pang of warmth at the sight of her vulnerability. As I stroked her hair soothingly, I looked down seeing her hide her face on my arm.

As Haerin slowly released her grip, I guided her back to her bed, feeling a sense of protectiveness washing over me. Helping her settle in, I tucked her in snugly, her eyes meeting mine with a soft gratitude.

"Thank you, Y/n," she murmured, sincerity shining in her eyes, and my heart swelled with warmth at her appreciation.

"It's no problem at all," I reassured her, offering a comforting smile. "Would you like me to switch off the main light and turn on the night lamp instead?"

Her nod was all the confirmation I needed. With a gentle flick of the switch, the room was bathed in a soft, comforting glow, casting shadows that danced across the walls.

"Goodnight and sweet dreams, Haerin-ah," I whispered, lingering for a moment before preparing to leave.

"Goodnight, Y/n," she replied softly, her voice carrying a sense of warmth and trust.

With a final smile, I closed the door behind me, leaving Haerin to drift off into a peaceful slumber. As I returned to my own room, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to offer her comfort and care, knowing that in moments like these, true bonds are formed.
