Danielle's POV

"Unnie, how did your photoshoot go?" Hyein asked cheerfully as we sat around the table, the clinking of utensils filling the room. I glanced at Y/n across from me, happily devouring her meal, and couldn't help but smile. Hanni, seated across from Hyein, grinned before responding.

"It went well. They even gave me a bunch of free stuff. You guys can check it out later if you want," Hanni said, almost done with her plate. I nudged Y/n under the table to get her attention, and she looked up, cheeks stuffed with food.

She's adorable I thought.

"Is the food good?" I asked, and Y/n paused, then spoke with her mouth full.

"Yes, Dani! It's amazing!" she exclaimed, making me grin. Before I could reply, Hanni interrupted.

"Y/n, chew first before speaking," she scolded gently. Y/n nodded enthusiastically, like a child, before taking another bite.

What's gotten into Hanni? I wondered. When did she start caring so much about Y/n?

After dinner, everyone pitched in to clean the kitchen, and I felt grateful for their help. We decided to go to the living room and watch a movie to pass time.

Y/n's POV

"Guys, I'm heading upstairs now. Don't stay up too late, you have dance practice tomorrow. The performance is just around the corner," I reminded them before getting up from the couch. They all nodded with understanding smiles.

"Goodnight, Y/n!" Hyein chirped, followed by Hanni, Minji, and Haerin. I noticed Dani seemed lost in thought, so I made sure to bid her goodnight too.

"Goodnight, everyone. Goodnight, Dani!" I called out to her, catching her attention. She smiled softly and returned the goodnight. With that, I made my way upstairs to my room. As I was about to close the door, a hand stopped it, causing me to jump.

"Hey! Don't do that! I'm glad I noticed you, or you could've been hurt," I scolded gently, fully opening the door to reveal Dani. I instinctively reached for her hand to check for any bruises, but thankfully, there were none.

"Sorry, I just wanted to talk to you," she apologized softly, her demeanor not quite herself. I realized she'd been quiet since dinner, and it worried me.

"Come in," I invited gently, guiding her to sit on my bed after closing the door.

"You seem worried about something," I observed. She sighed and shook her head.

"It's nothing, don't worry," she reassured me, but her forced smile didn't reach her eyes, and I couldn't ignore it.

"So, why did you want to talk to me?" I inquired curiously. She shrugged.

"Nothing much, just wanted to get to know you better," she replied, grinning playfully and nudging me with her shoulder. I giggled, relieved to see her smile genuinely now.

"Well, Ms. Danielle, what do you want to know?" I teased. She tapped her chin with her finger, looking thoughtful.

"If you're in a relationship!" she blurted out, looking at me expectantly. I shook my head, chuckling.

"That's so random, Dani. But no, I'm not in a relationship right now. I did have an ex-girlfriend, though—" I started, but she interrupted.

"Girlfriend!?" she exclaimed, covering her mouth cutely. I nodded, and she seemed to panic slightly.

"Is that okay? I mean, I'm into girls," I explained, and she quickly waved her hands in front of her.

"No, it's totally fine! Actually, that's even better— I mean, thank you for being open with me about it," she said, her cheeks turning slightly pink as she smiled. I couldn't help but giggle at her adorable reaction.

But what does she mean by it's even better?

I shrugged off my thoughts as Danielle interrupted me, her beaming smile and eagerness infectious.

"What's your type when it comes to girls?" she asked, scooting closer to me. I couldn't help but adore her cuteness as I pretended to mull it over, matching her energy.

"Someone... hmm... actually, I don't have a specific type. If I like that person, then I like that person," I replied. She nodded enthusiastically, then suddenly jumped up, clasping her hands together, causing me to jolt slightly at her burst of energy.

"Thank you for answering! I'll go now. Goodnight, Y/n!" she exclaimed happily, tiptoeing towards the door. I chuckled.

"Okay, thank you for the interview as well. Goodnight, Dani," I said, watching her smile one last time before closing the door.

I proceeded with my nightly routine and then settled into bed, feeling content.
