Waking up in Katie's arms again felt right, once again.
This is something that I could get used to.
Katie woke up at the same time as me, and as she sat up, she said, "Good morning, Cameron," with a soft smile.
"Good morning," I said to Katie, smiling back.
Katie gently tucked a lock of hair behind my ear and asked me, "Do you want to get breakfast?"
"I would totally say yes, but I really need to go home, shower, and change my clothes," I said to Katie.
"No problem," she said, and she then looked thoughtful, "I could always come to pick you up and we can get breakfast. No pressure, though."
"I'd love that," I said to Katie, "I'll text you my address."
As I was driving home from Katie's, I still couldn't believe that the night prior happened.
We finally hooked up.
...Is that all this is going to be, though?
I tried to push that thought out of my mind and just enjoy exactly how I was feeling in that moment, which was really glad about last night.
Even with Tristan showing up at Katie's house and calling her.
When I got home, no one was there. I figured that my dad and Kim were probably out to brunch with friends, Tyler was with Erika, and Timmy was...somewhere, with friends. I was relieved that no one was there, because if you took one look at me, you'd know that I had, well, a fun time last night.
As I showered, I couldn't help but think of Katie's hands all over me as I washed my body.
I need her again.
As soon as possible.
As I was changing, Katie texted me that she was on her way. I pulled my hair back into a high ponytail as it was drying, and put on some makeup.
When Katie texted me that she was out front, I heard my dad and Kim walk in, and I met them in the living room when I went downstairs.
"Is someone here to pick you up?" Kim asked me, "There's a car out front that I haven't seen before."
I nodded, "Yes. I'm getting breakfast with Katie."
Kim gave me a puzzled look, and then said, "You'll tell me more later. Did you have a fun night?"
"I did," I smiled at her, "Did you have a nice breakfast?"
"It was great," my dad said, "A new place a couple of towns away, we'll take you there sometime."
"Sounds good," I said to my dad, "I'll see you both later."
Katie was parked to the side of my house, and she waved to me as I walked up to her car. She leaned over and opened the passenger-side door for me, and I got in her car.
Katie also looked freshly showered, I could tell by the way her light blonde hair was pulled back in a bun, slightly damp. She wore a black cropped tank top with spaghetti straps and camo print jean shorts.
"You look really cute," I said, giving her a once-over.
"As do you, but that's no surprise," Katie said to me, "Where should we go, any ideas?"
"I was thinking maybe Turning Point. Have you been there? They have a really good brunch."
"I've been there once," Katie said, "But I'd love to go with you."
