When I opened my eyes the next morning as the sun poured in through the blinds, Katie's arm was still loosely around me.

I could tell by her breathing that she was still asleep.

I was still for a moment, unsure what to make of the fact that Katie and I had fallen asleep together...cuddled up, with her arm around me.

I felt comfortable, and I couldn't deny that. It felt like a very natural thing for us to do.

Even though when it came to the situation that we were in, there was nothing natural about it.

My sleepiness hadn't quite worn off yet, and that was made very evident, as I drifted back off to sleep.

That was until my eyes opened once again to the sound of the door opening, and Ivy's voice exclaiming, "Whoa! What is going on here?"

Immediately I sat up, and Katie, who was clearly very startled, did as well.

My heart was pounding as I turned my head to look at Ivy.

Besides the fact that her hair looked like a rat's nest, she looked very ... .amused?

"Jesus Christ, Ivy. You scared me," Katie said, and she then glanced at me and asked, "Are you alright?"

"I'm good," I said to Katie, and then I turned my attention back to Ivy. However, I was not good. My heart felt like it was going to beat out of my chest.

Katie then said, "Nothing is going on here. Cameron and I were talking, and she wound up falling asleep."

"In your bed? Cuddled up against you?" Ivy asked.

"There's really nothing to it," Katie said to Ivy, staring her down, "Judging by the way your hair looks, I can see you, however, sure had fun last night."

Ivy snickered, "You could say that."

"Yeah, judging by the way I could hear you moaning down the hall, it sure seemed that way," Katie said to Ivy.

Wait. We didn't hear any moaning. Unless Katie woke up and did?

Ivy's green eyes widened, "There's no way you did! I had my face buried in a pillow, like, the whole time!"

"You're right, I'm just fucking with you. I didn't hear any moaning," Katie rolled her eyes, and I stifled a chuckle.

"Katie! Don't mess with me like that," Ivy said, "Are you just mad because I interrupted whatever is happening here?"

"Nothing is happening here," I said, "Katie told you what happened, it's no big deal."

Ivy still didn't look convinced, but she said, "Okay, okay. I'll leave you alone about it. I only came in here to grab my hair brush. I'm going back to Jayden's room."

Katie leaned over the bed, reached into Ivy's bag, and pulled out a blue hair brush. She tossed it to her, and Ivy caught it.

"Thanks," Ivy said to Katie, with a wink, "I'll see you both later."

Ivy then turned and left, closing the door behind her.

I turned to look at Katie, and she looked right back at me.

"Sorry about her,"  Katie said to me, "I wish she didn't just burst in here like that."

"It's okay," I said to Katie, "I mean, it's probably good that she stopped in here. She needed that hairbrush."

Katie started laughing and responded, "Right? It's probably a good thing she's getting her extensions fixed on Monday."

"I didn't know she wore extensions."
