Chapter five
"Girls day out."
Having biked down town like the old days before anybody woke up, the two had gotten the muffins and made it back, where as they did, both of their hangovers started to kick in, as Conrad went into the living room and laid down on the couch, he pulled Hannah down with him, where the two had been laying there, even as everyone else began to wake up, as Jeremiah was in the kitchen cooking "do we really have to physically sit for our portraits? Can't she just look at a picture on her phone or something." he shared.
As Steven was standing directly on top of him watching what he was doing, as Laurel sat at the island looking at her computer, Jeremiah looked to Steven "okay, get out." he told him, as Steven laughed "what? Why?" he asked him, as he stepped back "she needs to see you in the flesh in order to capture your essence while you're still young and full of hope." Laurel shared, as Jeremiah and Steven laughed "her and Brooke's words." Laurel told them "well, Conrad and Hannah don't have hope, actually. They're hopeless, but my hangover smoothie...it cures all." Jeremiah shared.
"Can you please just hurry up?" Conrad asked him "your voices are louder then usual." Hannah told them "just go back to bed, all right?" Jeremiah asked, as Hannah huffed, turning around and leaning her head into Conrad's chest, and as she did, he brought his hand down to her hair, running his hand through it.
As Steven stepped toward's Jeremiah again, Jeremiah turned to him "all right, seriously, Steven, get out." he told him "oh, come on." Steven told him "this is a delicate science, and your heavy breathing is gonna break the yolk." Jeremiah shared "okay, okay, okay." Steven shared, as he walked around the kitchen island "she hasn't painted you since you were little. I think it'd be nice to have these portraits for when you're older." Laurel shared, as Steven looked to Hannah and Conrad in the living room "old. No. When I'm older, I'm sure there'll be, like, holograms or something I can watch of myself, you know?" he asked.
Where as Conrad and Hannah had fallen back to sleep, the blender started going off, jolting the two awake, Conrad sighed, as he laid back down, bringing Hannah with him "just sit for your portraits. I don't see Conrad or Hannah complaining." Laurel shared, as Jeremiah walked over to the two with two glasses "they'll complain when they're conscious." he shared, looking down at the two "hey!" he voiced, as the two looked to him, Hannah sat up "here." Jeremiah said, as he held two glasses of mysterious green liquid to them "thank you." Hannah and Conrad told him as they took it.
"Come on, man. Hurry your ass up. All right? I can't be late for my first day of work." Steven shared, as Hannah began chugging her glass, she watched as Jeremiah walked toward's Steven "we won't. We're good." he told him "come on, man." Steven told him, as he smacked Jeremiah in the butt "ooh!" Jeremiah voiced "those old country club boomers are gonna tip me so hard, man, they won't know what hit em." Steven shared "oh!" Jeremiah voiced "Steven, I swear." Laurel told them "what?" Steven asked her "come on, Laurel. My boys got to get that bread." Jeremiah shared.
"Thank you." Steven told him, laughing, as Belly walked in "good morning." Jeremiah told her "Belly, where have you been?" Laurel asked "she said something about catching a whale?" Hannah questioned as her and Conrad sat on the couch now, Laurel looked at Hannah with furrowed brows and then to Belly "um, cereal?" Jeremiah asked Belly "yeah, hit me." Belly told him "sure." Jeremiah told her, as he began to make her cereal.
"Oh my god!" Susannah voiced, as her and Brooke walked in, Brooke was waving an invitation around "Belly's said yes to being a debutante!" she voiced, as her and Susannah went over and hugged her 'it's really not that big of a deal." Belly shared "I'm sorry, like, Belly? Like my sister? Like, that thing right there?" Steven asked, pointing at her "shut up, cretin." Belly told him "okay, this is gonna be so much fun, just you two wait. There is, uh..there's the tea, the auction, the ball, of course, the rehearsal. I got to write this down." Susannah shared "don't worry. I already did. And also already made us an appointment to go shopping." Brooke shared.
