Chapter eighteen
"S and B forever."
Meanwhile, Susannah, Brooke and Laurel were sitting at the bar and as they did, this guy walked by them and checked Laurel out "someone has a fan." Susannah mentioned "and it's not me." Brooke added on "that's the gas station guy who hit on Belly." Laurel shared, as Brooke and Susannah furrowed their brows, looking to him, and oh, if they knew how much trouble this gas station guy got their kids into "maybe we should get out of here." Laurel shared "ID's." the bartender said, as the three turned to him "oh, my god, he wants our ID." Susannah mentioned, as Brooke and Laurel laughed.
"Sir, do we, um..do you really think we look twenty?" Susannah asked him, as she leaned toward's Brooke and Laurel "i told you we still look young." she told them "I have to ask everybody." the bartender shared, as Brooke raised her brows "just ruin the fun why don't you?" she asked him, as the three patted their pockets "but we don't have ID's." Susannah shared, as the three of them laughed "please. Please let us stay." Susannah told him, as she nudged Brooke "come on, tell him. You always had the way of getting us in." she shared.
As Brooke looked at him "sir, we have been coming to this place longer then you have been working here and even longer then half of the people who are in here right now. And we're also mothers. She has a painting business. I'm a well know fashion designer. And to my right is a well know book writer." she shared "fine, fine, what do you want?" the bartender asked them "two long island iced tea's, please." the three of them told him "coming right up." the bartender told them, as he turned walking off, the three of them laughed.
"Do you remember our fake ID's? I was Raven Kirk." Susannah mentioned "and I was Meredith Blake." Brooke mentioned "and I was Sloaney Janks." Laurel mentioned, as the three of them laughed "to Raven, Meredith and Sloaney, freshman year." Laurel shared "here you go." the bartender told them, putting their long island iced teas in front of them, the three grabbed them "want to start a tab?" the bartender asked "yes, here.." Brooke told him, handing him her card now "no, no, no!" Laurel and Susannah voiced "yes, I am paying for this excursion." Brooke told them, as the man took her card "I'll keep it safe." he told her, as he walked off.
And as he did, Susannah put her arm around Brooke "well good because me and Laurel didn't bring any money." she told her and as she did, the three bursted out laughing, as Brooke looked to Susannah "you already know, I'd do anything for you." she told her, as the two smirked.
Where Laurel then had walked up to the juke box, putting on don't cha by the pussycat dolls the three of them began dancing, where Brooke stood in the middle, where Laurel had her hands on Brooke's shoulders, Brooke had her hands on Susann's shoulders, as Susannah faced her, the three were dancing up on each other.
Where the three then had gone and got their refills, where the three continued dancing, then they were playing the pinball machine or more so Laurel was as Brooke and Susannah watched as they high fived each other when she got it in, the three then went back to dancing.
Where meanwhile back home, Conrad had walked into the kitchen and as he did, he had been standing there seeing what Hannah meant by having cleaned it, it was spotless, as Jeremiah walked in, opening the fridge "hey." he told him "hey." Conrad told him, as Jeremiah put the milk on the counter, he turned grabbing a glass from the cabinet, as he then brought it over and poured the milk into it, he then drank the entire thing and then put it in the sink "really?" Conrad asked him "what?" Jeremiah asked him.
"Wouldn't kill you to clean that." Conrad told him, as Jeremiah scoffed "ooh, what happened to the good mood Conrad from this morning?" he asked "because Hannah just cleaned this whole place and she doesn't need another dirty dish in the sink to clean." Conrad shared "yeah! Because she got high with the moms and made the mess. That's why she cleaned it up." Jeremiah shared, as Conrad's phone buzzed, he pulled it out of his pocket "who's blowing up your phone?" Jeremiah asked him.
"Nicole. She want's me to go to Yarmouth music fest next weekend." Conrad shared "you gonna go?" Jeremiah asked him "yeah. Why not?" Conrad asked him "you should." Jeremiah told him "can you please put that away?" Conrad asked him "yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah." Jeremiah shared, as he grabbed the milk "thank you." Conrad told him, turning and walking off, as Jeremiah put the milk back in the fridge, as he turned walking out.
Meanwhile back at the bar, Susannah was still dancing with Brooke, while Laurel had gone and sat down, Brooke laughed "you know that guy at the bar in plaid has been eying you the whole time." she shared, as Susannah hummed "yep, but I am more then happy to be standing her dancing with you instead of a total stranger." she shared "now, I know how Hannah felt when we pushed some random date on her, when all she wanted was comfort, safety.." Brooke told her "Conrad..but I'm starting to think that them not together now, no matter how badly I want it." Susannah shared, chuckling "that when they lose me for good, they'll realize how lucky they are to have each other, and find their own way without the two of us meddling." she shared, as Brooke smiled "maybe..yeah." she told her, leaning her head on top of her's.
It was night time, as the three of them were leaving, Brooke had gotten her card back, as they were sitting on the bench, a scooter horn beeped, as Cleveland drove up "hi, Cleveland." Brooke and Susannah told him, as Laurel walked towards him "hey." he told her, as he handed her a helmet "there you go. You got it?" he asked her "yeah." Laurel told him, as she got on the back, Brooke looked to Susannah "let's go." she told her, as the two stood up "have fun." Susannah told them "love you." Laurel told them "thank you." Cleveland added on, as the two's uber arrived, the two into it.
Where Susannah leaned her head on Brooke's shoulder, as Brooke leaned her head on top of her's, as the uber began to drive off, Susannah squeezed her "just me and you. S and B. Like old times." she told her, as Brooke smiled "S and B forever." she told her "always." Susannah told her, as the two smiled.
Making it back home, the two walked through the front door, Brooke shut it behind them, while Susannah took her sweatshirt off, and turned to go upstairs, but as she did, Brooke watched her almost fall down, as she ran toward's her and caught her "hey, hey.." she told her "I'm..I'm fine, Brooke, you've done enough for me today." Susannah told her, and when she did, Brooke felt tears in her eyes "well too bad. I'm always gonna be here for you until the end.." she told her, as Susannah smiled, the two began walking upstairs and as they did.
Conrad had walked down the dock, and as he did, he found Hannah sitting out there by herself as she had her legs pulled into her chest, he could tell from the lights that were hanging above that she had sat out here crying, alone, as he walked over and sat down next to her, he didn't even have to say anything, as Hannah started crying again, Conrad moved closer to her and put his arms around her, pulling her close to him, and as he did, she only started to cry harder, as she hugged him back "I know." Conrad told her, his voice breaking as he did, starting to cry himself, as he leaned down, kissing her on the forehead.
