Chapter forty five
"Preparing for an all nighter."
Then when the excitement was over, Jeremiah and Conrad headed down to the beach together but when they came back to say goodbye to their dad, where then the rest of them who were left walked outside to say goodbye to Brooke and Matt along with Laurel, Julia and Skye, where Jeremiah put his arm around Hannah "so I heard you got accepted into Stanford?" he asked her, as Hannah chuckled, looking to Conrad "we're just telling everyone now? Because you realize if we don't take the final tomorrow we aren't going anywhere, right?" she asked him.
"Which is why you guys aren't gonna miss it! Because also according to Conrad, your at the top of the class and ace everyone one of his quizzes." Jeremiah shared "I do." Hannah told him "are you guys saying we're gonna have a late night study sesh! Cause I am so in!" Steven voiced, as Hannah, Conrad and Jeremiah laughed, Belly and Skye were walking behind them, followed by Laurel, Julia, Brooke and Matt "the kids have gotten close." Laurel pointed out "yeah, Skye's really blossomed here." Julia shared.
"Well, I wasn't lying when I said all of us would be spending a lot of time here together. I mean giving the kids their space now that their older should be allowed but we always throw a kick ass fourth of July, you should come this year." Brooke shared "yeah! We grill, have clams, drinks, giant firework show at the end. And I'm sure the kids would love to have Skye over whenever they want." Matt shared "it's up to you though." Laurel told her "sounds like fun. But about that space thing? These kids seem to only ever get out of line. They're so impossible. Stubborn as Susannah could be." Julia shared.
"Through and through." Laurel told her, as they all then walked up to the kids "all right, don't look too happy. You're not getting rid of me forever. Your wicked aunt Julia, is still just a phone call away." Julia shared "thank you for everything." Conrad told her "I'm glad it worked out." Julia told them, as she looked to Brooke and Matt "just the way your mom wanted it to." she said "we should get going, too." Laurel shared "oh." Conrad said as he put his hand on Jeremiah's shoulder "uh, a..actually. I was wondering if you could stay for, like, one more night?" Jeremiah asked.
As Laurel furrowed her brows, she looked to Matt and Brooke "don't look at us, we have to head back to Boston and make sure that moving truck heads back here so we can get everything set back up in the house." Brooke shared, as Laurel looked back to Jeremiah "come on. We have to help Con and Han study for their final it's tomorrow." Jeremiah shared "dude, you know I'm eighteen, right? Like, I don't need my mom's permission to.." Steven was saying, as Laurel raised her brows "hmm?" she asked him "I need my mom's permission to study." Steven told them.
As Skye, Julia, Brooke and Matt laughed, Hannah raised her brows "us going to Stanford is riding on passing test, Laurel." Hannah informed her "you better do more than just pass." Laurel shared "oh! Oh, I am top of the class! Conrad's the problem." Hannah shared, pointing at him, Conrad bumped into her as he was holding food for the road "you both applied to Stanford?" Belly asked, as Conrad looked to her "yeah." he told her "does this mean I have to sleep on a sleeping bag tonight?" Laurel asked "oh, we've got the motel room for one more night. You want it?" Julia asked her.
"Oh, heck yes. Thank you." Laurel told her "perfect." Julia told her as she walked to her car "oh, Skye, parting gift." Conrad told them, handing over the food "thank you, Conrad, my dear sir." Skye told him, as Hannah laughed "my pleasure." Conrad told her, as Hannah stepped toward's her mom and dad "you ace that test you understand me? Don't let these guys distract you too much." her mom shared, as she pulled her into a hug "and by guys she means Conrad." her dad shared, as Hannah pulled away from her mom, and hugged her dad "I will be fine." she told him.
