Chapter seven
"One night away from you and everything falls apart."
Having made it back home, Hannah had run upstairs, where she definitely wasn't drunk but she also wasn't sober, changing out of her dress into a pair of jeans with a green tank top with a green cropped cardigan buttoned over it, as she walked down the hallway, down to Susannah's room, Susannah along with her mom and Belly were in there "I see someone else is going out other then me?" she asked, as her mom and Susannah looked to her "you look pretty. Your both are gonna have so much fun tonight." Susannah shared, as Hannah raised her brows "doubt that. I mean I don't even know who this guy is." she shared.
"Just give it a chance besides all your going to do is watch a movie." Brooke shared, as Laurel walked in, looking at Hannah and Belly "well, you two look nice." she shared, digging through her purse "I can't believe crop tops are back. Remember how I thought I was such a hot shit in that baby tee I wore freshman year?" Susannah asked "and then you proceeded to buy more!" Brooke voiced, as the three of them laughed "have fun tonight." Susannah told her Belly, as she looked to Hannah "you too, give him a chance." she told her.
"Did you at least get his number?" Hannah asked "we gave him your number." Brooke shared "thanks." Hannah told them, as she motioned to Belly "maybe she'll have more fun on my date then I will!" she voiced, as Laurel's jaw dropped "sorry, mom. Um, his name is Cam." Belly told her "yeah, his mom works at the club. Really nice boy, very smart." Susannah shared "live hardvard smart." Belly mentioned "ugh! Enough about college my head is still spinning from the deb tea." Hannah shared, putting her hands up to her head, Belly furrowed her brows "you sure it wasn't the tea you were drinking that's making your head spin?" she asked.
"What's she talking about?" Brooke asked "nothing. I'm going now." Hannah told them, smiling, as she turned walking out of the room, Brooke and Susannah laughed "it's fine. Of course you can go. I've dragged you to enough of these book parties over the years. Have a great date." Laurel told Belly "thanks." Belly told her as she began to walk out "do we need to talk about consent before you go?" Laurel asked her "mom." Belly told her, as she walked out of the room..
Laurel sat down on the bed next to Brooke "i kind of wish I wasn't going to this party, either. No offense." she shared "quit being such a debbie downer. You'll get inspired again. I know it." Susannah told her "so do I. Inspiration comes in the most mysterious ways." Brooke shared "yeah, but maybe I said all I have to say. Maybe I don't have any books left in me anymore." Laurel shared "you haven't done anything since you're divorce. you got to get out there, replenish the well, have fun. Go to parties." Susannah shared, as Brooke held her hands up "which is why I'm here!" she voiced, as the three of them laughed.
Meanwhile Hannah was walking down the stairs with Belly "I know we haven't exactly been getting along but if you need an escape or someone to talk to I will be right there if you need me, okay?" she asked her, as Belly chuckled "your only gonna be there because the mom's are making you go on a date with a guy you hardly know." she shared "yes, which is exactly why I'll be ready and waiting to jump at the nearest opportunity of an escape." Hannah told her, laughing, the two of them then walked into the living room to say goodbye to the boys who were playing video games "see you guys later." Hannah told them.
As Jeremiah turned around "damn!" he voiced, putting his controller down, he stood up and walked around the couch to get to them "are you kidding? No." Steven said, as Conrad turned looking at Hannah whose hair was down and curled, he then turned back to the game "yeah, fine, just abandon the game completely, Jer." Steven told him "you..look..hot." Jeremiah shared, as he spun Belly around "always the gentleman, Jeremiah." Hannah told him, as Steven turned around "she means stop flirting with my sister." he told him, turning back to the game "shut up, Steven." Belly told him "no, you shut up. Well, you look good, though. Both of you." Steven shared.
