Chapter forty seven
"Making plans to come back here."
The next morning, it was time to head out, as they all got changed, Hannah was now wearing a white long sleeve shirt with a black skirt, as her hair was in half up half down hairstyle, she bent down grabbing her book bag, she threw it over her shoulder, she went to grab her duffel bag but as she did, Conrad walked up to her grabbing it first "hey!" Hannah voiced, laughing as she turned to him, Conrad had a smirk on his face as he turned walking out of the room with his bags and her's, Hannah followed after him, where the two headed down the stairs.
And out the front door, Conrad walked up to his car, opening the trunk, he went to put their bags into it, as Hannah held her hand out "here, I'll put your book bag in the back with mine." she shared, as Conrad turned handing it to her, Hannah walked to the back backseat, opening the door, she put his book bag inside along with her's "hey! You guys we still gotta take that photo!" Jeremiah voiced from the front door, Hannah closed the back door while Conrad closed the trunk, the two began walking toward's him, and passed him into the house, where Jeremiah turned following him.
Where the three of them headed out into the back, and down toward's the dock where Laurel, Steven and Belly were waiting for them, where when they did, Jeremiah went on the left putting his arm around Belly, Conrad then stood next to her with his hand in his pocket as he put his arm around Hannah, Steven then on the end put his arm around Hannah and Conrad "say cheese!" Laurel voiced "cheese!" they all voiced, smiling at the camera, they all heard Laurel take it "love it. Okay." Laurel told them, as she brought the phone down 'here, you want to see?" she asked "yeah." they all told her.
As Laurel walked toward's them, they all circled around to look at it "oh, no, no." Conrad said "oh, Laurel you definitely need to send me this one so I can print it out and hang it up." Hannah shared "will do." Laurel told her, as Belly took the phone and began looking at them all, as her and her mom began walking back to the house, Hannah walked forward at the same time as Jeremiah where the two bumped into each other, as Jeremiah then held his arms out "ladies first." he told her "thank you." Hannah told him, walking ahead of him, Jeremiah followed after her and as they walked off after Laurel and Belly.
Conrad found himself looking at her again, where he always looked at her the same way, like he was lucky enough to have her, and knowing after everything they had been through she was finally his, all he could think about was the birthday gift he wanted to give her last year that he never properly got to give her and was hiding in his desk drawer back at college, always as a reminder to how badly he screwed things up, just like those pictures and junior mint were, where even if he was with Belly, about almost everything reminded him of her.
As he began walking off after them, Steven walked right beside him, as he looked to him "hey, thank you for being here, man. Seriously, it means a lot." he shared "yeah. Yeah, I mean, I was pretty clutch." Steven shared "you were pretty clutch, man." Conrad shared, as the two of them laughed, Steven saw Conrad looking off into the distance, and he didn't even have to guess who he was looking at, as he followed his eye sight and found Hannah who had a genuine smile on her face, as she turned back looking at Conrad "so, you two are officially together, huh?" he asked him.
As Conrad turned his attention back to him, Steven chuckled at the look on his face "I mean, yeah.." Conrad told him, as he turned looking back at Hannah who had looked away from them "it's..it's different though. Real. Like my mom always said that me and Hannah we're destined to be together, that we were the lucky ones, lucky to have each other. And being with her for real. Not just as best friends, but as actual boyfriend and girlfriend even though we haven't put a label on it. It feels like that." he shared.
