Theodore's heart sank as he overheard snippets of conversation at the Hufflepuff table during dinner. Hushed whispers and speculative glances were exchanged among the housemates, the topic of discussion unmistakably centered around Y/N and Cedric. His mind raced with worry as he pieced together the fragments of conversation, the implications of what he was hearing sending a chill down his spine.

With a sense of urgency gnawing at him, Theodore made his way over to the Slytherin table where Draco was seated, his expression grave as he approached his friend. Draco glanced up, noting the concern etched into Theodore's features, and raised an inquisitive eyebrow.

"Something on your mind?" Draco inquired, his tone laced with curiosity as he watched Theodore take a seat beside him.

Theodore hesitated for a moment, the weight of his words hanging heavy in the air. "It's about Y/N," he began, his voice barely above a whisper, as he leaned in closer to Draco. "There are rumors circulating around the Hufflepuff common room... about her and Diggory."

Draco's brow furrowed in confusion, a flicker of apprehension creeping into his gaze. "What kind of rumors?" he pressed, his curiosity piqued by Theodore's cryptic words.

Theodore hesitated, uncertain of how to broach the subject delicately. "Some of the Hufflepuffs seem to think that... that they...," he trailed off, the words catching in his throat as he struggled to find the right way to articulate the rumors he had heard.

Draco's expression darkened, a knot of dread forming in the pit of his stomach as he pieced together Theodore's implications. "They think they... what?" he pressed, his voice edged with concern.

Theodore took a deep breath, steeling himself to deliver the news he knew would be difficult for Draco to hear. "They think Y/N and Diggory... they think they were having sex in his dorm all afternoon today," he finally admitted, his voice barely above a whisper as he watched Draco's reaction closely.

Draco's jaw clenched in frustration, his mind reeling at the implications of Theodore's words. "Sex?" he echoed, his tone incredulous as he struggled to process the news. "But... that's not possible. Y/N wouldn't... she couldn't..."

Theodore's expression softened, sympathy shining in his eyes as he reached out a comforting hand to his friend. "I know it's hard to believe," he offered gently, "but it's what people are saying. I thought you should know."

Draco's mind raced with a whirlwind of emotions – disbelief, anger, and a gnawing sense of betrayal. Despite his attempts to push them away, the rumors lingered in his thoughts, casting a shadow of doubt over his already tumultuous emotions. And as he stared off into the distance, lost in his own thoughts, he couldn't help but wonder what the truth really was – and what it meant for his fragile relationship with Y/N.

In the dimly lit Slytherin common room, his frustration simmered beneath the surface, threatening to boil over at any moment.

Draco's mind was a turbulent sea of conflicting emotions, each crashing wave bringing with it a fresh surge of jealousy and frustration. As he sat across the fire place, his gaze fixed on the dancing flames of the crackling fire, he couldn't shake the image of Cedric and Y/N together.

In his imagination, he saw them entwined in each other's arms, their bodies pressed closely together in a tangle of limbs. Cedric's hands roamed freely over Y/N's skin, igniting a fire within her that he had never been able to kindle. He imagined the soft whispers of desire that passed between them, the tender caresses that spoke volumes of their intimacy.

The thought of Y/N surrendering herself to Cedric's embrace, of giving herself freely to another man, twisted like a knife in Draco's chest. He clenched his fists in a futile attempt to quell the surge of anger that threatened to consume him, his nails digging into his palms with a painful intensity.
